A condensed edition distilling the most relevant events of July!

It has been a while since we published our last weekly update in The Week! -issue 8. If you are thinking we unplugged and went on holidays to a remote tropical island you don’t know BotSupply well enough!

What we did instead was to take advantage of the summer holidays in Denmark to rewrite our platform from the ground up and add new features to help our clients leverage Artificial Intelligence.

But we didn’t stop there, we developed a new computer vision algorithm for image recognition, increased the accuracy of our NLP engine and worked on a completely redesigned website that will go live at the beginning of August!

And that’s just scraping the surface of what we have been up to, read on to get the full picture!

The Week! — issue 9

ChatBot Summit Opening Session

Right after publishing the last issue of The Week! we packed our bags and flew to Berlin to attend the 2017 edition of the Chatbot Summit.

“At the Chatbot Summit, our mission is simple: to connect the players, worldwide, who make up this newly forming digital economy “— Chatbot Summit

We had a fantastic time in Berlin connecting with the global chatbot community and we are really looking forward to join the next episode of the ChatBot Summit in Tel Aviv in November.

Since we started BotSupply 10 months ago we haven’t participated in any industry event or conference: it’s not that we were not interested but we felt compelled to focus our efforts on product development and sales instead of flying around giving speeches left and right.

“We felt compelled to focus most of our efforts on product development and sales”

On the other hand, tech conferences and industry events are perfect to build brand equity and even more important, to create a real connection with the individuals that are part of the community, from Bot Engineers to Ai scientists!

So after coming back from Berlin we worked hard with our community partners to put together a list of events, talks and conferences on Artificial Intelligence, bot and the messaging economy.

“Tech conferences and industry events are perfect to build brand equity”

The list (in full at the end of the article) is topped by the 2017 edition of the KOMFO SUMMIT:

Komfo Summit is a playground fostering new perspectives and meaningful conversations around social business. It’s all about igniting original thinking, creative concepts, and unexpected knowledge.

Francesco will join our friends at Komfo to talk about the hype surrounding Ai and how to choose the solution that’s right for your automation needs.

Don’t miss the session on Ai and Bots at this year KOMFO summit

The guys at KOMFO have been organizing the summit for several years but for the 2017 edition they have joined forces with Copenhagen TechFestival:

“Copenhagen Techfestival is an open invitation to anyone who wants to explore, debate and celebrate a human-centric approach to technology with wide open eyes, fierce curiosity and joyful enthusiasm”

If you are wondering what are the other worth-to-join sessions besides the Komfo Summit, you can read the full program here, or simply join us at the AI Meetup on September 5:

“Our mission is to connect, grow and inspire the AI community in the Nordics through interdisciplinary knowledge exchange and collaboration”

Same applies to the AI MEETUP at CPH TechFestival, you can’t miss it!

The Week! — issue 10

After getting high on conferences and event planning, we went back to what we do best, build great conversational experiences for our clients.

First, we delivered three bots to Danske Spill, with the goal of increasing engagement and foster a more open communication between users and the brand.

“The bots allow users to keep track of winning numbers, prize pools and get notified about the games they are most interested in”

The bots are live, and you can interact with them (by) clicking on the logos below:

Every time we introduce a new bot in the world it’s a very exiting time, it is in fact the best occasion to put your assumption to test and leverage user feedback to improve the experience across the flow.

“Launching a new bot with a client is not the end of the journey, but a new beginning”

Up until now, we have helped many brands from TopDenmark to Dansk Supermarked move their first steps in this new Artificial Intelligence enabled world.

Our clients operates in very different industries but they are all based in Denmark, effectively making BotSupply a company focused exclusively on the Danish market.

Or at least that was the case up until now!

We are extremely happy to announce that the Italian Banking group Sella has decided to join the Messaging Economy and to partner with botSupply to craft innovative conversational experiences.

Banca Sella was one of the first Italian banks that launched home banking service enabling customers to perform bank transactions online.

For our first project will be working with CONSEL, the consumer financing branch of the group, while several more are in the pipeline as we work closely together with SELLALAB, the Fintech Accelerator and Innovation Hub of the group.

Banca Sella, SellaLab & Consel entering the messaging economy

As we look forward to work with SELLALAB on new payment solutions for the Messaging Economy, we are already busy working with THE RAMP, Danfoss’ Innovation Lab, on Machine Learning technologies aimed at creating operational efficiencies and helping DANFOSS staff in their day to day work.

Danfoss is entering the messaging economy as well

The Week! — issue 11

In mid July we met again with Thomas from our business accelerator, Accelerace, for a session on how to streamline operations and business processes at BotSupply.

We are very happy to be working with the talented Accelerace team and we can’t wait to dig even deeper in the potential ramifications of alternative business models with them.

We think they are very good at what they do, but don’t take our word for it and read what the The Huffington Post, Forbes and Business Insider have to say about them:

Besides working with Accelerace on operations and business processes, we spent a lot of time in July rethinking our communication strategy.

Our newest team member, Grasia, laid down the foundation for BotSupply new communication strategy.

A multichannel strategy that we’ll be implemented leveraging the power of the Komfo platform:

The Week! — issue 12

Closing our first client in Italy, made us wonder about the size of the opportunity for Artificial intelligence in the country, so we decided to set up a few meetings with key players and fly to Milan to explore potential collaborations.

Milan Skyline

While it is too soon to measure the effective outcome of our explorations in the Italian market, we see a lot of opportunities in working closer with our friends at Botsociety

www.botsociety.io

We have been using Botsociety internally for a long time, but never been able to deploy it in our client facing operations because of the lack Enterprise features like advanced sharing and mockup access control.

After discussing these limitations with Vittorio Banfi, CEO of Botsociety, and clarifying the importance of theses functionalities for bot consultancies like BotSupply, we decided to work together to improve the product and test the new functionalities directly with our clients.

You can read all about the latest feature releases here:

The Week! — issue 13

The time came for Rahul to leave as well. Rahul is our Co-Chief Ai Scientist and he spent a month in Copenhagen setting up our new Machine Learning framework.

Among other tweaks, he managed to increase the accuracy of the engine we use for customer service automation bots!

Working Hard!

Rahul Kumar and Kumar Shridhar can now test and implement Machine Learning algorithms in a fraction of the time thanks to the latest toy entering the BotSupply lab:

NVIDIA

Our new NVIDIA TITAN powered system is not the only tool we added to the lab.

As we see voice becoming the de facto interface for human-machine interaction, we couldn’t wait to start hacking our way on both the AMAZON ALEXA and GOOGLE HOME platforms.

Voice is becoming the de facto interface for human-machine interaction

These guys get very talkative when installed in the same room:

«OK, Google, say ‘Hi’ to Alexa”.

“I’m so excited. I have a question for her. Alexa, will you be my friend?”

“Of course we can be friends, you seem very nice.”

Meet us in any of these conferences:

Komfo Summit, Copenhagen, Sep ‘17

TechFestival.io, Copenhagen, Sep ‘17

World Summit AI, Amsterdam, Oct ‘17

Blockchain Conference, Stockholm, Oct ‘17

WebSummit, Lisbon, Nov’ 17
