Interested in the brain, the mind, and everything related to the human psyche?

We’re here for you!
We publish high quality scientific and professional pieces. We want to share our passion for neuroscience and feed the curiosity of those trying to go deeper in their understanding of the human brain.

At BrainChronicles, we’re not just scientists; we’re writers too. If this is you, we want you to join us!

What we publish

Examples include but are not limited to:

  • Neuroscience: behavior, cognition, developmental, computational. anatomy, physiology, imaging, neuroethics, neurophilosophy, clinical neurology.
  • Psychology: especially neuropsychology, clinical, abnormal, educational, forensic, social, experimental, developmental.
  • Mental health: anything related to neurological, psychological or biological conditions, and the social, demographic, and environmental factors that can affect the course of these conditions.
  • Neurotechnology: brain-computer interfaces, artificial intelligence, imaging, stimulations, invasive, non-invasive, cognitive training.
  • Substances: psychedelics, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, stimulants,

What we don’t publish

  • We don’t publish stories with no scientific background.
  • We don’t publish stories that aren’t related to the human brain.
  • We don’t publish advice, motivation, relationships, personal, and self-improvement stories if they’re not backed up by proper science. Other publications are publishing such personal stories perfectly already.
  • We don’t publish stories without proper referencing and citations.
Sources can either be stated at the end of the story, embedded throughout or added as hyperlinks.
    Here is an example.
  • We do not accept stories that can cause harm, spread hate, or elicit outrage.

Requirements for our stories

  • We want beautifully written stories. The internet is full of raw scientific reports. Build pieces that are appealing to the general public.
At BrainChronicles, we’re not just scientists; we’re writers too.
  • Use at least one of the following tags in your stories:
    #neuroscience, #psychology, #mental health, #biotechnology, #neurotechnology, #drugs
  • Add a beautiful feature image with credits. Make sure every visual used has a clearly stated source.
  • Fact-check and reference your story. We might have to take it down in the case of misinformation.
  • Proof-read and edit thoroughly before submitting your article.
  • We want pieces that make a clear point and convey a clear message; no rambling and no story with too much disparate information.
  • We prefer unpublished drafts. This will help the visibility of your article.
  • Submissions should comply with Medium’s content and curation guidelines.
