When a lot of people with this question come to famous speakers, one of them, which name is Grant said:

“I didn’t know the first word I should make use of in writing the terms. I only know know what was in my mind, and I wished to express it clearly,so there could be no mistaking it”

In many cases, notes destroy about fifty per cent of the interest in your talk. You should avoid them. An audience can hardly be brought to endure listening to a read speech.

I watch a lot of videos from YouTube showing differente conditions of public speaking that lead to success or failure of speech. I noticed, every insignificant things during speaking that you either don’t care about or don’t take into account may destroy your success. And taking notes is the essential part of one of them.

You were advised on the last post to make notes.Author suggested to use it only during the preparation. If you must use notes during speaking in front of large audience, make them extremely brief with large letters and hide your notes behind some books on a table.Glance at them when you must.

Because, there may be times, when it is the part of wisdom to use notes. For example, some people during their first few talks, are so nervous and self-conscious that they are utterly unable to remember their prepared speeches.

Why shouldn’t such persons hold a few very condensed notes in their hands?
