CakeResume Monthly Updates — Giving Back to the Design Community! | April 2019 #3
Giving back to the design community
Hello everyone 👋,
We are so grateful for the growing CakeResume community and love it when community members take the initiative to share their experience and knowledge to help each other grow in career.
Giving back is an important part of growing as a person and an organization. We are always thankful for receiving great support all the way from people who believe in us.
With that in mind, we are excited to announce the very 1st Dribbble Meetup in Taiwan hosted by CakeResume & PEBBO will be a non-ticketed event! 🎉
We hope you’ll join us for a chance to meet other creatives, get to know the team at CakeResume, and generally just have a fun evening!
What we’ve achieved in Apr 2019
More tech career sharing sessions 😃
To better help everyone grow tech career, we decided to invite veterans and experienced people in the tech industry to share their experience and knowledge with tech communities from Taiwan every month.
As of today, we’ve hosted 2 in-person meetups for people with similar interests in product management and design.
Demands for tech talent are rising 🚀
This month many prestigious companies were coming to open massive tech related jobs on CakeResume:
The leading company in consumer banking — CTBC Bank opened 20+ job positions in fintech; the top staffing & employment platform — 1111 opened 70+ positions in tech for both of their internal hiring and headhunting service.
Not only local leading companies, but also many innovative companies outside of Taiwan are recruiting tech talent on CakeResume to build strong local branch like Circles.Life — a fast-growing telecommunication company from Singapore, and Samba TV — an industry leader in television audience research and analytics from San Francisco.
What’s new in product
Our mission is to help everyone get a job they love.
With that in mind, we have been improving our resume building software to help everyone make a resume/profile easier faster since the day we launched CakeResume.
Last month we released the CakeResume profile instant builder to help new users build a new CakeResume profile in one step by simply importing their existing resume PDF.
Fast building a resume can save your time preparing for job applications, but we all know the quality of resume is the key to get interviews.
This month we launched the Resume Keyword Optimization feature to help you improve the quality of your resume.
Resume Keyword Optimization (beta) 😎
Some of the most innovative companies like Google, Facebook are utilizing a resume-scan software to help them filter out candidates to interview among thousands of applicants.
There are many factors leading to the filtering results, and one of the biggest factors is the keyword.
Kudos to the CakeResume NLP team, we launched the Resume Keyword Optimization feature to help you compare your resume content with the description of the job you love.
In the beta version, you can copy and paste the job description and start analyzing to get the match rate of your existing resume and the job description. Then you can find what are the crucial keywords that might catch hiring managers’ eyes.
Welcome to test the Resume Keyword Optimization, if you have any thoughts on how we can best accomplish this, feel free to reach out.
