Week 4, completed it!

We have officially passed the halfway point of camp, we’re on the back 9, the 5th inning, the 2nd curtain, the 2nd half!

What a fun week it’s been at Camp IHC. The weather was HOT, as a heatwave hit most of the country we were ready. Big shout out to the waterfront staff for having a rocking waterfront during this time! We’ve never seen so many people be blobbed in our lives!

Dorney Park

What an amazing way to begin last week, the whole of lake camp trekked off camp for the one of the biggest trips of the summer. Dorney Park!! Campers were filled with excitement and joy as they arrived at the park and saw the rides appearing behind the trees. As soon as they were released, campers ran straight to the rides with Steel Force being the most popular. They went on the rides, played on the arcades and eat some good food! Thanks Dorney Park for a great day! See you next year.

Read about it here:

Double General Swim

With temperatures reaching 94 F this week, it was the perfect excuse to hold double general swim everyday to cool campers down and really relax in the pool! Kids were having fun every single period, the rockwall, the water slide, trampoline, iceberg and monkey bars were full with kids jumping, climbing and sliding. Canon balls from campers could be seen all over the pool too. We rate them a 10 out of 10!

Tye Dye

It was a fun week for Arts and Crafts. Campers were called up to the Arts and Gallery to get funky with TYE DYE! White and grey tops were sprayed with all different colors ranging from blue to pink. All the plain tops were brought to life with swirls, splurges and lines and looked awesome. Shoe laces and socks were even tye dyed. We can’t wait to see everybody rock their new styles, it’s a little more colorful than usual!

Vermont

This week the Seniors left camp to go and explore the state of Vermont. They visited the Ben and Jerry’s factory to taste test all the different flavors they had to offer. (Chocolate Brownie was the best!) Lake George was also on the agenda where the views were spectacular. Six Flags was also visited on the journey where the crew faced their fears and went on some of the biggest rides in America. To finish it off, they went on a dinner cruise to reminisce on the amazing week they had. We’re SO jealous!

Dream Week

Our future campers are here! On the 20th of July, our dream week campers arrived for their very first week at Camp IHC. Each camper was introduced to their CIT who was going to look after them for the week. After they got settled in, they experienced a real camp day by going to all the different activities on camp to get ready for the following year and had a blast! We can’t wait to see them next year!

Camp Fire — 10 and 15 Year Celebrations

After celebrating the arrival of the new dream week campers, it was time to appreciate the oldest campers and staff. 10 year shirts were given out to some of the CITS and staff members to give recognition for their time at camp. We even had one 15 year celebration which is crazy. Guys… WE LOVE YOU! Bring on the next ten years!

Color Run

Just when you thought camp was more colorful thanks to tye dye… we didn’t even mention COLOR RUN! Hill Camp had some fun running through the IHC woods with paint chalk creating an enchanting forest of color!

That’s all for now folks!
