Details on the Crowd Fundraiser of Cardstack’s Token Generation Event

Dear Cardstack community,

We’re very excited to announce the Crowd Fundraiser (Batch C) of the Cardstack Token Generation Event is planned for May 31, 2018 at 13:00 CEST (Zurich).

This will be an important moment for the Cardstack Project: the goal of our crowd fundraiser is to ensure the Cardstack project is accessible to the broadest community possible, and ensure a diverse distribution of Cardstack Tokens (CARD).

KYC / Whitelisting

To participate in the Cardstack Crowd Fundraiser, you will need go through KYC and get whitelisted on cardstack.com using our new TGE dashboard app. Please review the complete instructions here. (KYC process is now closed to new applicants.)

The web app is available for use on May 10, 2018 for anyone who signed up for Cardstack (mailing list, Whitelist Pre-Signup, etc.) on or before May 8, 2018. Don’t worry—if you signed up but did not receive an email confirmation, you should consider yourself to be on the list. You may still sign up now, though it may take us a few days to get you access.

Our KYC process will run through May 20, 2018 at 23:59 CEST (Zurich). Note that the web app may experience congestion during peak times. If you encounter issues, please be patient and try again later—our KYC is not first-come, first-serve.

If you were KYC’ed through Bitcoin Suisse for our pre-allocation round, we will honor it. Simply log in to the TGE dashboard to submit an Ethereum address for whitelisting.

Contributing to the Crowd Fundraiser

A total of 480 million Cardstack Tokens (CARD) will be distributed through our Crowd Fundraiser (Batch C). This corresponds to a cap of $8 million USD for Batch C, following our successful early contribution round (Batch A), which collected $20.5 million USD from strategic contributors, and pre-allocation (Batch B), which collected $6.5 million USD through Bitcoin Suisse’s platform.

The price of CARD for Batch C contributors is approximately $0.017 USD. Contributions will be made in ETH to Cardstack’s Ethereum smart contract. The ETH-to-CARD conversion is estimated at 1 ETH = 45,000 CARD. The exact conversion will be set in the smart contract shortly before the TGE date, and remain at that value until the end of the TGE, ensuring all Batch C participants receive the same ETH-to-CARD rate.

At the opening of the Crowd Fundraiser, approved participants (who have passed KYC/AML and whitelisted an Ethereum address) will be able to log in to their TGE dashboard on https://cardstack.com/ to view the details needed make their contribution with a ERC20-compatible Ethereum client.

All contributions must be made directly to Cardstack’s Ethereum smart contract address, which will be made available only on the TGE dashboard on cardstack.com. We will never solicit funds from you via email, private message, or social media.

The individual contribution cap which will be announced shortly before the opening of the Crowd Fundraiser.

As promised, our early supporters will receive a higher individual cap for the first six hours of the Crowd Fundraiser, as a symbol of our appreciation. This group includes everyone who expressed interest by signing up for our mailing list or emailing token@cardstack.com on or before January 31, 2018.

After the first six hours of the Crowd Fundraiser, contribution caps will be raised for all participants.
