What’s New @ Ceev: July 7, 2018
It’s been a few weeks since my last update. I’ve been continuously fixing things, but today I’m releasing some features that I figured deserved a post.
Here’s what I’ve been up to:
Jobs on Ceev
I added a job board. I have some really awesome plans for it. I won’t go into too much detail here, though. I wrote an entire post about it that you can read here.
Way better rich text editing!
Ceev has always had some basic rich-text editing, but now it’s much better and easier to use. It works just like Medium — highlight some text, and a toolbar will appear that will let you do the following:
- Bold
- Italic
- Underline
- Link (new!) — add clickable links to your resume.
- Blockquotes (new!) — add quotes to your resume or just use it for additional styling.
- Bullet lists (improved!) — Now instead of just adding a bullet character where your cursor is, it will behave more like Word or Google Docs, making it much easier to add bullet lists to your resume.
- Icons
I’m still testing it on different mobile devices, but so far performance has been pretty good on most. It works best when you double-tab to select text.

Design Changes
I changed up a few things on the dashboard. I changed the shadows, changed spacing between elements, and made the resume list scroll horizontally on mobile. I’m working on improving performance on mobile, and all of this will help with that.
I also made some small tweaks to the profile pages — making them a little more compact and readable, as well as improving the design on smaller screens.
Security Issues
I had a few people reach out to me with some possible security issues that could come up if left alone. Thank you to those of you who are nice enough to give me a heads-up. The issues have now been fixed. No user data or information was compromised.
