The Centrality Developer Portal is live

They’re here — tools to build applications on the blockchain with ease. We are getting hotter every day and now the Rooster Spur stage of our launch is complete, the Centrality Developer Portal is live. We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Centrality’s one-stop-shop to build business and consumer applications on the blockchain.
To deliver what we set out in our whitepaper feels incredible. But what’s even better is that we’ve built this on top of the PL^G toolkit and we aligned our debut with the launch of PL^G’s Developer Portal. Each portal supports a different need in the market for blockchain solutions.
Centrality’s portal provides developers, start-ups, and small businesses the resources they need to create consumer focused DApps in our ecosystem, so they don’t need to build these from scratch.
Meanwhile, PL^G targets Enterprise businesses who have a need for their own public, consortium or hybrid blockchain environment, and sets these organisations up for success through the PL^G Toolkit. Centrality is proud to be powered by PL^G — our blockchain network CENNZnet is the first of many networks to be built on PL^G.
Centrality and PL^G are core contributors to Substrate and are collaborating with Parity to develop the Substrate code base. Substrate is built using Web Assembly (WASM) and allows flexibility, world-class developer support, popular languages for programming and availability of plug-in modules for your chain.
What makes CENNZnet different is Centrality has used the PL^G toolkit and enhanced this to build a network designed to optimise the user experience for DApps we have a large number of existing users in our ecosystem for you to tap into.
But our job’s not done.
We’re calling on you to make the Centrality and PL^G Developer Portals the best they can be. They’re live, but they won’t reach their full potential without the help of our communities.
During their initial launch, we’re looking at you — developers, token holders, partners and community members — to test the developer portals, use our wallets, run a node and send us your feedback. Let us know what you like, what needs work and what else you want to see.
How to use the Developer Portal

-Tap into the resources so you can navigate our network with ease:
- Node to be a validator or run a node
- Infrastructure to access the CENNZnet
- Block Explorer to view all transactions on the network
- Token Generator to raise funds for development
-Read documentation to get an understanding of our tech
During this time, the tokens in the ecosystem will be placeholders for when our token economy goes live. The tokens will be symbolic for now but as we move the staging networks towards full mainnet launch the tokens will become real. We will shortly introduce a way to stake with CENNZ and any rewards you earn from staking tokens, will be real.
What’s next?
With Rooster Spur complete, we’ll be entering the Habanero stage of our launch. This means making continuous improvements to our CENNZnet network, toolkit of resources and code library of protocols. We’ll be introducing more components like voucher allocation and redemption so developers can add more functionalities to their DApps.
But most importantly, we’ll be taking the feedback from you and optimising our platform. We’re building a platform so you can come to us today and go to market tomorrow.
This is an exciting step towards our full network going live later this year and our journey to interoperability.
