Flame Out

In response to Shweta’s One Line Poetry Prompt

Flames: on a racecar, in a pit

At a rock show, lighting up his spit

Of a forest fire, flames of my heart

As our countries burn, tearing us apart.

I am saddened by all the horror taking place right now all over our country, yet I will keep my opinions on it to myself. What I will say is that it is also my opinion that we need to let God back into our society before we all see the eternal flames of Hell. He is the Way and the Light. Without Him, we have no hope.

Thanks to Kathy Jacobs, Harper Thorpe, and the entire Chalkboard team!
