Awaken Your Inner Child - Impact Report

Last week, on NFTuesday, the community stepped up for the Awaken Your Inner Child NFT Giving drop in support of Upbring’s Crypto Endowment Fund for Better Childhoods. Led by artist Bryan Brinkman and web3 thought leader Rizzle, 27 artists, collectively known as the Inner Children, contributed a piece of themselves in the form of “refrigerator worthy art”, to this first-of-its-kind NFT Giving project. The project officially launched on Tuesday December 6, 2022, and sold out in less than 30 minutes!
We have revealed the beautiful art behind each NFT and are excited to share the impact of the campaign.
The results were incredible, with over $10,000 (or 8.16 ETH) being raised on the mint sale. Upbring seamlessly claimed their funds that evening, giving them direct control over the cryptocurrency as an equal participant in the movement. All of the artists and Upbring were also included in the smart contract to receive earned creator royalties as the NFTs are resold on secondary marketplaces.
According to Ryan Park, Vice President of Innovation at Upbring Innovation Labs:
“The community’s overwhelming acceptance and support has been truly inspiring. We serve thousands of kids each year from foster care to education to resettlement and we could not do it without supporters like you. So thank you ChangeDAO, all the contributing artists, and the collectors and community, for all that you are doing to help us break the cycle of child abuse.”
Beyond the money raised, the Changemakers also raised awareness of the important work they believe Upbring is doing in support of child welfare. 193 individuals purchased an Awaken Your Inner Child NFT, directly connecting them to this movement of change, with the grassroots social media campaign organically reaching 1.5 million people.
