Altered State — Charged Particles Art Drop #3 Recap
What. An. Event.
Responsible for 1/3 of all the people logged on to Decentraland, 819 people in discord, and 1700 people attending in Cryptovoxels alone, it’s safe to say that our Metaverse parties are growing.
Nearly dwarfing our Launch Event in February, we’re on track to continue breaking records at these events in which we come together to celebrate a diversity of crypto art.
These artists helped us kick off our brand-new 5-Parcel Charged Particles Gallery in Cryptovoxels (designed by Richard Dixon) and our Charged Particles Mainstage in Decentraland (designed by Spike).
As usual, our partners at Token Smart helped organize the event audio, POAP distribution, and live streaming from their Discord server where participants chatted, talked with artists, and kept the vibe going with an array of stickers and gifs. Featured Musicians IMT laid down more than an hour and a half of funk, disco, and house with their signature live-horn looping.
The party began in Decentraland, at the Charged Particles Mainstage where we danced, claimed POAP tokens, and attempted the largest Cha Cha Slide the Metaverse has yet seen… and it was awesome.

Guests from all around the world signed in our guestbook to qualify for a CHARGE token airdrop that will be going out to 50 participants.
We heard some brave attendees get on stage and drop some freestyle lyrics over the POAP Funk Set by IMT and then we set off to our Cryptovoxels Gallery to experience all of the art on offer. In the week since the event, these artists have seen nearly $20,000 in sales.

Charged Particles allows for a new level of creativity with NFTs by allowing users to lock ANY ERC-20 token inside their NFTs.
NFTs can now be loaded with any token you can imagine — interest-bearing tokens, LP tokens, social tokens, speculative tokens, token-vault keys… anything. And with ERC-721 functionality just a few days away, Charged Particles is forging the way forward in creative and novel use-cases for NFTs.
Our artists are the first to experiment with these new possibilities.
This round’s featured artists, Brian Beach, Ben Haley, Beacon Bloom, Once Upon A Crypto, cloverme, Shoneec, Land Elephant, Talos, IMT and The Guild loaded their pieces with thousands of dollars worth of WETH, MANA, ENJ, and DAI, all generating interest within the NFT that can be held or discharged at the owners discretion. Other tokens you can find within the pieces on our front page include RARI, CHARGE, TUSD, USDC, OCEAN, TORN, PAINT, and many more!
The event also saw the exclusive premiere of the first music video released by New Zealand electronica act, Beacon Bloom.
Their NFTs range from mysterious easter eggs to a personal, private show, anywhere in the world. They’ll literally fly to you. The music video for their song “Nothing Here But You” (and the rabbit hole of a Metaverse game that comes with it) will be released to the public April 16th.
The exclusive NFTs, however, are available on our marketplace, and are already starting to vanish.
With art ranging from adorable fighting animals and epic elemental towers to universal floral pieces and community collaborations; from sci-fi concept art to spiritual quarks, the feelings of the rainbow, and the mysterious lore of Mary Hush, there is an incredible diversity for collectors to fall in love with.

Charged Particles was started in late 2019 in an attempt to combine NFTs and DeFi in a novel way.
