We love stories. Movies, books, TED talks, dates, role playing games. But we only ever sit back and let them unfold. What if you were part of them: the protagonist making the decisions, directly having the experience? How would that change entertainment?

So many industries have been transformed within the last decade alone, predominantly by becoming more interactive. Marketing went from one-way to two-way. Search went from queries to suggestions. Why not do the same for the movies we watch?

The next step in cinema experiences might not be just to enhance the sensations of a passive viewing but to shift it to something active. What do you think? How could that work within the entertainment sphere (pick your medium within this broad category)?

? What other forms of entertainment can become more two-way?
? How would you map out the interactive element — would there be certain scenarios set out already like a choose your own adventure book?
? Or would it be completely free roaming like Journey, the video game?
? Would this change the players’ or viewers’ ability to connect with each other? What might multi-player look like?
