The first one.
It’s been just over a week since we unveiled our master plans for the Cheeky Unts project. In that time, we’ve seen our glacial floor turn into liquid hot magma *Dr. Evil voice*, the return of the hunt for naked unts, and a plethora of content on Twitter for the raiders to blow up. We even saw the Seal Tyrunt become immortalized on the blockchain — that’s right, Pix finally got the custom unt he’s been planning since October and wow is it ever glorious! #LifeAfterSundae has actually been pretty good to us unts…
I’ve been meaning to start an unts blog/newsletter for quite some time now, and I figure there’s no time like the present given all these promises we’ve made. I’ll aim to find a good mix of recapping what’s happened in the community in addition to updates on our roadmap progress.
The only thing left to figure out was a name for the blog and the post frequency. Weekly you might get tired of me. Monthly you might forget about me. Every other week could work, but how do you name a bi-weekly newsletter? So I decided to just post these once in a while. And with that, I give you the first ever edition of Unts in a While.
Swanky Unts Club
H.Y.P.E. Skulls
In case you missed it, we officially announced that H.Y.P.E. Skulls is the first partner in the Swanky Unts Club (SUC) series. I have to be honest, I was a bit nervous asking Pixel #unt to take glowing, smoke-breathing, animated 3D skulls and put them onto unts in only 32 pixels. But he was more than up to the challenge — check out these H.Y.P.E.Unts (pro tip, mute the royalty-free music and play this song while you watch):
As a reminder, here’s how you can get your hands on a H.Y.P.E.Unt:
- You are guaranteed one (1) H.Y.P.E.Unt airdrop for every naked unt you hold.
- If you hold at least one (1) Cheeky Unts — Road Trip NFT AND at least one (1) original H.Y.P.E. Skulls NFT, you have a chance at 1 of 25 airdrops.
- If you hold at least four (4) Cheeky Unts — Road Trip NFTs, you have a chance at 1 of 20 airdrops.
- We will be reserving five (5) H.Y.P.E.Unts for a charity auction.
Snapshot will take place on February 2nd at 11PM UTC. Please ensure your relevant NFTs are not locked in smart contracts as it may impact your eligibility. Airdrops will go out 24–48 hours following the snapshot.
What’s next?
We’ve finalized the art assets for the second SUC partner and have started to generate some tests. While I can’t share specifics yet, I can assure you it’s one of the top CNFT projects. We’ll announce who’s next in line shortly after the H.Y.P.E.Unts have dropped.
Dev & Art Update
The main focus right now from a dev perspective is getting our advanced script finalized for the airdrops next week. Since the SUC unts we drop to naked unt holders will correspond with the naked unts they hold (i.e. naked koala receives a koala SUC unt), our script needs to provide a snapshot on a per asset basis rather than per wallet. Once that’s completed, we’ll begin building our utility token, $BEER.
On the art front, we’ve continued to work on custom unts for community members as well as SUC unt concepts for future collabs. We’ve also started to dabble with some 3D unt sculpts for non-voxel metaverses, i.e. Decentraland and Pavia. These are still very much a work-in-progress, but they should give you an idea of what we’re working toward:
We’ll keep these wrapped in gold until we’re ready to unwrap the final concepts.

Say “unt” contest
Brian Cardano isn’t the first to pronounce unt like that, so we need to educate people on the proper pronunciation! We’ve launched a small competition. All you need to do is post a short video in the #say-unt channel on our Discord with your crack at pronouncing “Unts”.
Prizes will be awarded for making us laugh, cry, cringe, or sigh. Rap it, sing it, say it — anything goes. Here’s what’s up for grabs:
- One (1) custom unt
- Four (4) 25 ADA prizes
- Floor unts
- Special Discord role
King #unt will be pulling together a montage of the submissions and awarding prizes this weekend, so be sure to get your video in while you can. Hop into Discord and check out some of the great entries so far — they’ve been pinned in the #say-unt channel!
Raider of the Week
As mentioned, Pix was the last unt to win Raider of the Week. He took home his very own custom unt and — as you’d expect — the Seal Tyrunt was born:
This week’s winner was tough to pick. We had three finalists and it really could have gone to anyone. We ended up going with the stats, and one unt in particular had a bit more activity than the others.

Moving forward, I’ll likely announce the Raider of the Week during these updates. So it won’t really be weekly, but we should have at least two winners monthly. Check in with Digi in #unt-raiders to receive the Raider role on Discord and help us spread the word of the unts!
