Alright, alright, alright! In the last update, we looked at some high-level details for our Season Two drop and alluded to our longer-term plans for the Cheeky Unts Ecosystem. Both topics have some notable developments, so Unts in a While is back for the second time in less than two weeks!
Over the next four weeks, you’ll have many opportunities to inspire our S2 collection and win free stuff. We’ll also be revealing more details about the importance of your S1 unts in the short and long term (hint hint: S2 allowlist, Cheeky Unts Arcade, more prizes, etc.).
I’m here to give you all this alpha and more, so let’s jump in!

Season Two Kickoff
Last week we revealed (almost) all of the mint details. As you’re already aware, everything about Season One — Road Trip was Aussie. Base unts were all animals native to Australia, and our charitable contributions benefited Australian organizations.
We’re branching out in Season Two to bring awareness to wildlife conservation worldwide, and we’re sending two of the finest unts on this global mission (and to hit a few pubs along the way).
Roo and Koala get to go on a cheeky holiday, and they’re going to need your help to make sure it goes smoothly!
Mint details
- Public mint date: May 28th @ 14:00 UTC
- Mint price: TBD, but it’ll be more than S1
- Supply: 4,444

The collection will span all four corners of the globe, splitting the supply evenly between Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia. Region-specific unts will be locked to region-specific traits, while the Kangaroo and Koala will be able to inherit traits from all of the regions they visit.
Allow list
If you hold S1 unts, you are eligible to allow list for the S2 drop. Allowlist will be granted based on your Discord Roles as follows:
- Tyrunt (32+ unts) - 8x S2 mints
- Lieutenunt (16–31 unts) - 4x S2 mints
- Sergunt (8–15 unts)- 2x S2 mints
- Grunt (1–7 unts) - 1x S2 mint
More details on the allow list will be posted closer to the mint date.
Community-inspired collection
The Cheeky Unts founding team members knew how to create art that captured the essence of Australia, but quite frankly, they’re useless when it comes to anything beyond their c̶o̶n̶t̶i̶n̶e̶n̶t̶ little island.
All kidding aside, we’ve found ourselves with a reasonably global community. So we hope that a few of you unts will be able to show us what you want to see for each region. Every week until May 12th, Roo and Koala will be visiting a different corner of the globe, taking your suggestions for who they should meet, what they should do, and where they should go.
Oh, and you’ll be able to win prizes like ADA, S1 unts (WL spots), and more!
Who should they meet?
In this contest, you’ll help us decide which animals should become Cheeky Unts in S2. All community members will have the opportunity to vote in four polls each week. Each poll will count as an entry into a prize draw. Cast your vote in Discord under the Season Two section.
What should they do?
Show Roo and Koala how to fit into the culture of the region they’re visiting. You can do this however you’d like, be it a meme, a homemade video, or a picture you took. Remember, these unts love to get smashed, so they’d be keen to see your favourite local pubs and beers. Your submissions will inspire the regional traits in S2, and we’ll give you a sweet prize if your suggestion makes it into the collection!
Where should they go?
Ahh, sightseeing! What would you be without sightseeing? Roo and Koala will be stopping for a picture at the most iconic sights around the globe. Submit a photo of an iconic location, and you’ll win a prize!
At the time of posting this article, Europe contests are officially live. You don’t need to be from a particular region to participate. So let’s see what you’ve got!
Cheeky Unts Arcade
As we shared in the last update, gaming will be a cornerstone of the Cheeky Unts brand moving forward. We mentioned having a web-based game in development and hinted at building Cheeky Unts Arcade. We left you with nothing more than a sneak peek. Torture, right?
Well, you didn’t have to wait long, because we’re about to share our plans with you, and they’re BIG.
Skate Unt
So it turns out “Skate Unt” was a bit further along than I had anticipated. We’d say it’s currently in an “Alpha” or “Early Access” state.

Shortly after last Unts in a While, I took to Twitter and posted the link to play. All I asked was for people to play a couple of rounds and send me a screenshot of their scores so I could randomly pick 5 players to win some S1 unts.
I ended up getting 20+ entries, with multiple players submitting several scores. It was great to see the overwhelmingly positive feedback about the game. Congrats to the five players who won unts by playing!
The game isn’t perfect yet and still has some kinks to work through, but we’ve already bred some Skate Unt degens grinding their way up the leaderboards. Be on the lookout for more Skate Unt contests on Twitter and Discord. If you couldn’t already tell, we’re feeling generous with prizes!
Long term vision for the arcade
As I said, the Cheeky Unts Arcade is our master plan. The arcade will be one of the primary use cases for our utility token and has several significant opportunities for monetization. Our intention is for this to become a Web3 redemption arcade, where you play to win tokens that can be redeemed for prizes. Think Chuck E. Cheese, but for adults!
What does this look like in the short term?
Cheeky Unts Season Two is an essential first step. Revenue from the drop will be re-invested into developing additional games for the arcade. We plan to ship multiple games this year, including games of skill and chance. In the short term (<6 months), we want to get a minimum viable product (MVP) out with weekly/monthly leaderboards that have guaranteed prize pools.
What happens next?
Once we have the MVP in place and you unts are keeping busy with the games, our focus will shift to Web3 wallet and utility token integration. These integrations will allow us to run more robust leaderboards (think esports), pay tokens out automatically (think redemption arcade), and introduce perks for holding certain NFTs (loyalty bonuses). We’ll also build out the redemption feature at this point, allowing players to cash in their tokens for NFTs or even charitable donations.
How will the arcade remain financially sustainable?
We intend to eventually franchise/license the arcade to other NFT projects, allowing them to provide additional benefits to their communities and holders. There could also be opportunities to partner with other projects and allow them to put their intellectual property into our arcade.
What’s in it for unt holders?
Apart from being the first to receive tokens, S1 and S2 unt owners will receive several perks connected to the arcade. These perks will evolve, but initial ideas include exclusive competitions, bonus rewards, and early access to new games. But that first token drop in 2022… look out!
It’s a long road ahead, but the path is clear, and our team has the skills and connections to get there.
