You try to focus on the voice that you just heard. “Who is this?” you ask.

“Come. I can help you.” It is a woman’s voice.

“Against Death?” you ask.

“There’s only one way to defeat him.”

You realise the voice is coming from below. Another of Death’s traps? Maybe. But what choice is there?

“How can I find you?”

“See that forge across the road…?”

You look up, and see a stone building with an anvil. There are no lights or signs of activity. “I see it.”

“Below it is a trapdoor. Use it. Come, and I’ll explain everything.”
