“What?! The orcs had to die.”

“Not like that,” Dara repeats.

You look back at the charred, hacked-up pieces of orc left by your rage-fuelled spree…

…and see she has a point.

You hurry after, putting your axe back in your belt.

“I’m sorry. I let my anger take hold.”

She pauses. “I can’t work with someone without decency. Some orcs surrendered.”

The attack on your village crosses your mind… but you see that it’s no excuse. “I messed up.”

She stares, silent for what seems like an age. Then — a fractional nod. “Okay. So… to the base.”
