Shortly, you and Taryn are hurrying from the guildhall. It’s dark; few people are about.

“My village was attacked too,” they say as you walk. “Not razed, but still... People were killed, my cousin among them.”

“And yet you work for…?”

“Piquantia and his cronies aren’t my bosses,” they snap. “They’re a clique of wizards who have taken hold of the Guildhall. Destroy them, and the rewards could be sweet.”

“Revenge will be even sweeter,” you reply, gripping your axe once more.

Together, you cross a bridge towards the forest. An abandoned hut lies ahead.

“Time to shelter,” says Taryn.
