“Fine,” you mutter, looking at Polki. “If you must know, they attacked my village. I returned to find it a smouldering ruin. My family are prisoners.”

“We’d best hurry, then,” says Naya.

“Exactly what I’ve been telling you!” you declare indignantly.

“But we’ll need serious armor to win the day,” mutters Tox’ar, the lizard-warrior.

“Right! Thing is, I’ve very little coin…”

Naya steps closer, and claps you across the shoulder. “I’m a magic user, my unfortunate friend. We can roast a few dumb orcs without burdening ourselves with heavy armor.”

You glance around the group.

“So let’s go,” Naya insists.
