You follow Helga and Robbie out through the house’s back door.
Once out of sight of the town, you take the lead, weaving through the dense trees and undergrowth. After perhaps an hour of walking, you part the last two stubborn boughs, revealing a quaint abandoned cottage.
You point ahead. “Lay low here. I must go join some friends. Villages are in danger from orcs, and I must find my family.”
“What about my family?” Helga asks.
You frown. “I’ll not return home before your family is dealt with. On my honor.”
“I pray for your safe return,” Helga says.
