Before navigating to the NFT section, please make sure you have a Wax wallet integrated to your CSM account. The NFT section is the place to see all NFTs connected to your account. These NFTs will be used in CS:M and CS:DO.

The NFT section of the Dashboard is there to manage in game assets stored on the blockchain such as opening hero packs.

This ensures that users new to crypto are able to familiarise themselves with everything in one place before necessarily having to involve multiple concepts such as using third party sites such as AtomicHub.

To get to this section, follow the steps below.

To mint your NFTs, you need a WAX wallet connected to your account. If you are unfamiliar with this process fear not as we have a guide for you here.

There are no fees or GAS needed to mint NFTs but interacting with the WAX blockchain or marketplaces like Atomichub will require some WAX staked at a later point. To learn more about how WAX works, please read this article.

Protecting your assets

We have all heard terrible stories regarding stolen tokens and NFTs in crypto space. Most of us hold crypto assets worth less than $1000 and think that they are not susceptible to hacks as hackers are only interested in crypto whales. However, the situation is completely opposite. Crypto millionaires are well-aware of possible threats and are protected from them. We are the main targets of crypto scams and hacks.

There are several security aspects that crypto users should be familiar with. This article briefly mentions them and a guide on the most bulletproof approach is given in the end. The article does not explain in detail why you should follow these guidelines as this topic is out of the scope of this guide and should be explained elsewhere.

  1. The first and simplest layer of protection is 2FA. Always use 2FA when dealing with crypto. Both CSM Dashboard and WAX Cloud Wallet support 2FA security option and you should use it.
  2. Try to avoid using your cell phone when interacting with crypto wallets. Cell phones are more susceptible to hacks compared to laptops/PCs. In addition, your 2FA application is, most likely, installed on the same cell phone which significantly lowers your security.
  3. Don’t interact (sell/send/burn) with unknown tokens/NFTs that magically appeared in your wallet. There is a nearly 100% chance that interacting with an unknown smart contract that generously sent you tokens, worth a couple hundred $, will result in hijacking your crypto wallet.
  4. Have a reliable antivirus installed and activated.
  5. Bookmark links to exchanges, and wallets in your browser. Check Pancake, WAX Wallet, AtomicHub, and CSM Dashboard links. The links above are legit, however; in the case you used any of them you should consider thinking about your security a little bit more seriously :) Avoid using links/search engines when going to exchanges/Dashboard. Use bookmarks instead.
  6. Use a hardware wallet.

Hardware wallet

What is a hardware wallet? In short, it is a small electronic device that allows you securely storing and transferring crypto assets. The key idea behind it is that you must physically push a button on this device in order to send or sell your crypto/NFT. There is no other way to do it. This means that stealing your holdings is impossible even in the case when your password and 2FA device are compromised. It takes approximately 5–10 seconds and 3–10 pushes to approve a single transaction. This may be a bit inconvenient for those who constantly sell/buy tokens and NFTs. One solution to this would be to use both a regular wallet and hardware wallet. Use a regular wallet for temporally storing tradable assets and a hardware wallet for storing long and midterm holdings.

A typical price of a hardware wallet is ~$60 (Ledger, Trezor). Therefore, it only makes sense investing in a hardware wallet if your crypto holdings worth >$500 or so. It takes several week to deliver and approximately 20 minutes to setup.

Storing CSM NFTs on a hardware wallet.

WAX wallet does not support hardware wallets so an Anchor wallet should be used instead. The good news is that the CSM Dashboard supports Anchor wallet integration in addition to WAX wallet. The entire setup process takes approximately 20 minutes but it definitely worth this time as you are securing your NFTs for years.

  1. Install EOS App on your Ledger device.
  2. Create a custom Anchor wallet (you can pick your custom wallet name while doing this). A great guide on this process was written here.
  3. Login to the CSM Dashboard and go to Settings (top right).

You are all set. CSM NFTs may now be transferred to your WAX hardware wallet for secured storing for eternity. Why would you want to sell something beautiful like this?

Bottom line:

  • Hardware wallets cost ~$60.
  • It takes about an hour of your precious time to set up the wallet.
  • You need to physically push a button on a hardware device several times to approve a single transaction.

Is it worth it? Absolutely! Hardware wallets allow you to secure tokens in the most advanced way and provide piece of mind for you.
