Freelancing…. sounds familiar?

I was working as a freelancer for many years. Home office… direct approach to customer... sounds familiar?

I decided to quit freelancing and turn it to an entrepreneurship. I still feel myself connected to the freelancing though. Thus I’m about to work on tools for freelancers.

Thinking about what was my biggest pain as a freelancer, I was missing simple tools made with freelancers and small teams (2–20 people) in mind.

For example what I missed most was a simple task management tool. Trello was too simple, no task states, no subtasks. Atlassian JIRA was overengineered for my purposes. And yet I wanted a simple tool that my customer would understand.

My idea is a tool based on user stories. I want to come to my customer, talk with him and directly insert user stories into the system. A user stories that my customer will understand and can easily check if it is done or not.

What are you missing? What is your pain? Is there something you would appreciate, something that would help you?
