How much energy do automobile wheels — around the world — consume annually? If there is a possibility to cut this energy fraction, how much emissions would it mitigate, as well as add range to electric vehicles and hydrogen cars?

Wheels are unique in how they are an exposed motion — driven by a propeller shaft. Any motion can drive energy, but this maybe small and uneven since it may be driven, and then converted.

What if instead of using motion to drive energy and use that energy to drive motion, motion is directly used to drive motion in exposed objects?

The possibility of this, with design, adjustments, uniform velocity or elevation holds a key for wheels in climate goals this century.

Modeling a new wheel — with an accessory — to have its motion by that of the wheel, then share with the wheel at certain velocity, elevation or weather, is a starting point for this.

There can be smaller version of multiple motion suppliers that would share, including to the propeller shaft. There could be slightly bent wheels, or changed surfaces, to aid this motion.

This would be an exciting mechanical engineering try, towards cutting emissions and energy efficiency, for new vehicles and existing ones.

For autonomous vehicles and advanced driver-assistance systems, there is a computer engineering path, towards safety and increased entropy. All ML data in AVs and ADAS should not completely go into the same processing.

Some input data have to be partitioned so that they go towards a path similar to the thought pathway in the brain. It is where thoughts go that determine what to feel: fear, love, caution, danger and so on. Having a fear center for data of AVs and ADAS, especially on some close calls or situations would result in increased safety and efficiency.

There are lots of talks about the future of mobility mirroring energy conversion, as well as all input data in one direction. Motion to drive the motion of wheels, and data as in thoughts pathway holds new promise.
