Just when everyone thinks that the NFT hype is over, Reddit announced the launch of their collectible NFT avatars in July this year.

Two months later, their collectible avatars were released, and their primary sales are selling out fast.

Users can buy the collectible avatars directly from Reddit and, just like regular NFTs, can be transferred to different crypto wallets and sold on NFT marketplaces like Openseas.

The NFTs are initially priced at $10 for avatars with 1000 copies, $25 for avatars with 600 copies, and $50 above for avatars with only 200 or fewer copies.

Furthermore, the rare collectible NFTs that have sold out are being traded on secondary NFT marketplaces at a premium price, usually with a profit margin of 1000%. For example, the NFT, “The Hands,” from The Senses Collection, which a user initially bought for $75, was sold for 0.89 Eth ($1353)in the Opensea Marketplace.

Reddit collectible avatars use the Polygon blockchain to mint the NFTs, which has minimal gas fees. So, with less than $1 worth of MATIC, users can already start selling their avatars on NFT marketplaces.

Users who bought collectible avatars can use the NFTs as profile pictures on the social media platform, which can easily be distinguished through a blue hexagon around the image.

In addition to the unique appearance of their profile pictures, the users can also mix and match different parts of each NFT that they own to customize their avatars.
