Much like molecules managed to self-organize into Life, it's time for us humans to enhance our self-organizing power, using blockchain technology among other means to bring greater economic sovereignty, coordinated intelligence, and decentralized governance while re-activating ancient knowledge within communities around the globe.
But with the current data streams corrupt, how do we settle on a base layer of infrastructure to provide an essential free flow of information and decentralized decision-making? And how do we use this infrastructure to facilitate intelligent human coordination?
Some of the most powerful tools we have are economics and governance.
The way I see it, the current economic and governmental systems need to be turned inside out. If we don’t attend to this need for more decentralized and localized economics and governance, the current centralized systems will continue to neglect the core needs for human vitality and collective unity.
We need stronger governance layers where individuals are empowered with true representation. We need mechanisms that enhance our power to organize and enact a collective will. With blockchain technology offering us the tools to build and use a public decentralized infrastructure, we are now progressively moving more and more towards locally attuned mechanisms for governance and intelligent organization. We are finding innovative ways to ground the benefits of this tech in the real world with labor and care such as incentivizing biodiversity with regenerative agriculture.
It is up to us to build civil resistance mechanisms, solidify accountability and construct new forms of legal and judicial systems that have their roots in life-affirming virtues.
There is more work to do on organizing governance with blockchain. Even within the current bonded proof of stake ecosystems that in my opinion are at the forefront of providing decentralized economics and governance, we are still evolving beyond plutocratic means of control. And with the ability for delegators to override the votes of their validators, an increasing amount of voter participation will continue to decentralize decision-making power and achieve social consensus with equitable representation.
So just as nature finds harmony when left to its own accord, I believe in the capability of the inherent loving nature of the human spirit to organically restore a collective harmony.
By utilizing a new financial and governance infrastructure that benefits the many instead of the few, we can implement economic models that incentivize regenerative action and the common good of all beings. It’s being done right now and its strength will only continue to grow.
And of course, actualizing a collective unity begins with loving ourselves first, so that we may realize a greater global coherence as a result.
