To be frank for the past few weeks utter rubbish.

BUT

There are reasons for this. I shall explain.

Drip Network

If you’re in Defi and unless you live under a rock you will be aware of the upcoming Drip Network Animal Farm V2 launch TODAY. Still, this is Forex Shark we are talking about here and I have seen quite a few of these launch days in the past not quite launch. But I am hopeful that TODAY he will pull it off and indeed Animal farm Version 2 WILL LAUNCH. I await with bated breath the remaining 8 hours or so.

Let’s hope I don’t eat my words here and instead of TODAY, we have DELAY!

Why My Garden Suxx

I have watched numerous Youtubers over the past weeks and indeed months try to get their head around the Drip Network Garden and for the most part almost all of them are wrong with a few exceptions. I’ll spell it out for you.

No matter what you do with your garden and no matter what convoluted planting strategy you may have

YOUR GARDEN WILL LOSE DAILY LP PRODUCTION IF PEOPLE ARE SELLING MORE PLANTS THAN THEY ARE BUYING AND THE PRICE OF DRIP IS ALSO FALLING

But you can mitigate it some by compounding more and more frequently.

Look at the one I use to gather data on and write these articles over the past few weeks. Bear in mind that with this garden I ONLY compound.

No matter what I do here as the contract balance drops (people sell plants) my daily LP drops along with it. I did DCA in again on the 6th to get me above 28LP but then it just started steadily falling again. This is as designed. It is meant to do this. Rise and fall based on the size of the contract balance.

Let’s See If Planting Helps

This is today’s pre-plant. I’ve got 400496 plants to plant.

Now let’s take a look post-planting.

11,993,130 plants and a daily LP production of 25.1347. If I add those figures into my sheet it looks like this.

As you can see here I’ve dropped again from 25.5188 to 25.1347. A drop of 0.3841. Not a massive drop each time but steady all the same. Of course, this coincides with the big fat red contract balance drops over to the right of my sheet. The contract balance is down from 4,885,383.00 to 3,900,780. I am mitigating my losses by only compounding and this is what you should do with your gardens during such times as this. Don’t get me wrong here across my 5 gardens I am making just under $1000 per day IF I claim (I don’t) so I am far from complaining.

Drip Network The Future

Am I bothered?

No not in the slightest and I still love all that is Forex. I expected this to happen in all my gardens and it is playing out exactly. I did note that the contract balance dropped very slightly last night from 3,908,200 to 3,900,780 which is much less of a drop than previous days so things may be slowing down on the selling plants front.

There is a ton of money currently locked up in Drip tokens sitting in people’s wallets. When Animal farm V2 launches they will have three options

Keep it in their wallet.
Sell it.
Invest it into Animal Farm.

I expect a LOT of them will move that Drip into Animal farm as do a lot of others. This will do two things

Bring liquidity into the whole drip network ecosystem.
Stop people selling plants so that they can invest in the DRIP/BUSD farm.

And talking of that farm (DRIP/BUSD). Everyone is going to jump in there on launch (I’m not) and as such the APY will plummet as it is designed to do.

Conclusion

My conclusion is don’t worry about your gardens losing LP. Just don’t exacerbate that too much by claiming all the time. Compound them and grow them. The whole ecosystem is going to grow with the V2 launch and especially when we have the next bull run although that won’t be for a couple of years now.

If I was Plan F I would say the third quarter of 2024. But what do I know :)
