Well, well, well, look who’s back in the spotlight — meme coins! It’s like they say, what’s old is new again. Shiba Inu is making a comeback as the 14th largest crypto in the world, and Doge just had another Elon pump. And let’s not forget about Dogechain , which is seeing some development. But hold your horses, folks, because there’s one meme that all crypto enthusiasts need to keep an eye on — and it could pay off big time. Yes, I’m talking about the legendary Pepe the Frog. Who needs Bitcoin or Ethereum when you can have $PEPE (and PepeSol), am I right? So let’s all get our hands on some Pepe and ride the meme train to the moon!

What is the Pepe meme??? Pepe is a green cartoon frog with bulging eyes and a big smile, which makes him look like he’s been on some kind of psychedelic adventure. He has a range of emotions, from sad and depressed to happy and excited, which makes him a versatile meme in the crypto world. Pepe is often used to express the ups and downs of the crypto market, with his facial expressions changing depending on whether the market is booming or crashing. He’s also used to poke fun at mainstream financial institutions and government regulations, with his mischievous grin and rebellious attitude. Another unique Pepe meme trait is the way he talks. Early memes of Pepe would often be accompanied with alternative ways of spelling out sentences, for example: whee arr oll gona mayk it. Pepe is the ultimate icon for those who want to stick it to the man and make a profit at the same time. So, if you see Pepe popping up in your crypto memes, just know that he’s there to make you laugh and maybe even make you some money.

A little Pepe History

The history of Pepe as a meme and its embrace by the crypto community can be understood through a psychological and cultural lens. According to Dr. Susan Blackmore, a psychologist and meme expert, memes are “units of cultural evolution” that replicate and spread through human culture. Pepe, as a meme, has evolved over time and has come to represent various subcultures and counter-cultures, including the crypto community.

Pepe was first introduced as a character in the comic series “Boy’s Club” by artist Matt Furie in 2005. The character gained popularity on online message boards, where users began to create and share their own Pepe memes. The character’s evolution continued as different groups added their own interpretations and meanings to the meme.

The crypto community has embraced Pepe as a meme because it represents a sense of rebellion against mainstream culture and authority. As Dr. Blackmore notes, “Memes are often used to signal group membership or identity, and to signal opposition to established norms and values.” Pepe’s evolution as a meme has allowed it to take on various meanings and interpretations that align with the decentralized and subversive nature of the crypto community.

Pepe’s embrace by the crypto community has also led to the creation of various Pepe-themed cryptocurrencies, such as PepeCash and most Recently $PEPE. These cryptocurrencies have gained popularity within the community, with some investors seeing them as a way to express their support for the meme and the culture it represents.

As an example, during the bull run of 2017, PepeCash gained over 1,500% in value, reaching a market capitalization of over $40 million. Is the new installation of Pepe poised to do the same? More on that in a moment. The meme’s influence on the crypto world was also evident in the creation of the Rare Pepe Wallet, which allowed users to store and trade rare digital Pepe cards.

Can the New Pepe Meme Coin Make You Huge Gains?

So it clear that in the past meme coins have made people a fortune. Just in case you aren’t aware, here are few examples:

Dogecoin Millionaire:
Glauber Contessoto, a 33-year-old Los Angeles resident, invested his life savings of $250,000 into Dogecoin in February 2021, when the price of the meme-inspired cryptocurrency was at $0.045. In just two months, the price of Dogecoin skyrocketed to $0.70, making Contessoto a millionaire overnight.

Shiba Inu Millionaire:
Another example is a 39-year-old who goes by the name of “Shiba King” on Twitter. He invested $8,000 in Shiba Inu in early 2021 when the price was at $0.00000006. By the time the price peaked in May 2021, his investment was worth more than $5 million, making him a millionaire several times over.

Safemoon Winner:
John Karony, a 26-year-old from New Jersey, invested $2,500 in Safemoon in April 2021 when the price was at $0.0000005. Within just two months, the price of Safemoon increased by around 14,000,000%, and Karony’s investment was worth more than $350,000, making him a millionaire.

Yes, these are past examples of people getting in early to these meme coins and in turn making huge gains! But is it still possible?

At one point in crypto history, it seemed that NFTs would replace the meme coin narrative, but this has not been the case. As previously mentioned, meme coins continue to thrive. The potential for a new meme coin such as the Pepe coin is enormous, given its cultural significance and the fact that it is relatively new. People have not forgotten the potential of new meme coins that actually have sentimental value. Of course, there may be fluctuations in the coin’s value along the way, but it’s essential to remember that it took Shiba Inu several cycles to achieve the massive parabolic move that made multiple millionaires virtually overnight. The Shiba Inu coin experienced a long period of relatively low value, but after a few cycles, it gained momentum and became one of the top-performing meme coins in the market, increasing by more than 1,000,000% in just a few months. This rapid growth resulted in a few investors becoming millionaires almost instantly. It is important to note that investing in meme coins carries a high level of risk and should be approached with caution. However, the potential rewards particularly for Pepe, as demonstrated by the Shiba Inu coin’s success, can be substantial. Here is a link to the new Pepe meme coin website https://www.pepe.vip/ . [Update… Pepe on the Solana network is starting to run also. https://www.pepesol.io/ so it may be viable to check other chains too]

Let’s go Chad; you already know the rise of Pepe-themed cryptocurrencies in the crypto world has shown that memes and money can mix. With their rebellious nature and cult following, these meme coins have the potential to make you say “WAGMI” (We’re all gonna make it) to the moon and beyond. So keep an eye out for the next Pepe coin and hop on the meme coin train before it’s too late!
