Setting Up MetaMask — Adding A Network
Part 2 — How To Add A Network Like Binance Smart Chain (BSC) On MetaMask.
Congrats! You have made it through Part 1 of Setting Up MetaMask. In this article, I will show you how to add any network such as the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) that is widely used for dApps!

Step 1: MetaMask
To add a network on MetaMask, we first need to have MetaMask downloaded and installed! If you haven’t start by reading this (Part 1) of Setting Up MetaMask!
Step 2: Download A VPN
Activate your VPN while browsing. I use ExpressVPN because of its military-grade encryption. It is audited by PwC and is also ultra-fast. But you can use any other providers! I wouldn’t go for free ones as our data might be at stake. Nothing in this world is free.

You can skip this step if you are sure you won’t get compromised.
Step 3: Adding Binance Smart Chain (BSC) into MetaMask
Click on the drop-down menu at the top of MetaMask and you will see and option to “Add Network”. Clicking on this will direct us to the configuration page. Key in the exact same information as I have shown you down below.
Network Name: Smart Chain
New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
Chain ID: 56
Currency Symbol: BNB
Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com
Just copy and paste it!
Click on “Save” and you will see that you now have the Binance Smart Chain! Now, whenever you enter a dApp such as SolarFarmV2, always make sure you are on its specified network. Otherwise, you will not be able to Connect your wallet.
This is not the end! Yes, we can add the networks and its awesome. But what use it is if we can’t see our tokens?
