The Lionel Messi NFT Collection Will Be Launched By Ethernity Chain
Argentine football legend Lionel Messi has partnered with Ethernity Chain to produce Messiverse, an NFT collection of digitized drawings authorized by Messi himself.

Messi revealed Messiverse in a short video posted on his Instagram account, yesterday, August 4.
In the video, Messi invites his audience to "find his first NFT collection on Ethernity", saying: "Football is like an art: it is ageless".
According to a press release, the superstar's collection contains four works of art, each of which is a portrait of him:
- "The man of the future" - a futuristic description of Messi with bright eyes and a cybernetic look set against a blue background.
- “Worth the weight” depicts a golden Messi raising a giant soccer ball in the sky, as Atlas did in the heavens.
- Messi is framed by a soccer ball ring in “The King Piece”, a chess-themed image.
- A work that has not yet been revealed
Each NFT exhibited was created by an Australian artist known on social media as "Bosslogic", who worked with both Marvel and Disney. The final NFT, which has not yet been unveiled, will be unveiled on August 20, the day Messiverse premieres.
The explosive growth of ERN
The NFTs have been received extremely well or are expected to be: the ERN symbol - the native token of the Ethernity Chain has risen by more than 45% in value after Messi's announcement.
Ethernity Chain is no stranger to rising prices of this magnitude. In March 2021, the token was worth $ 74 and had even eclipsed Bitcoin as the top currency in the United States for an entire week.
Moreover, the blockchain platform is known for its collaborations with other celebrities. Others, including Alex Ovechkin a professional hockey player, and former UFC champion Anderson Silva, have partnered with Ethernity to launch their own collections.
Ethernity Chain "aims to establish the most exclusive NFT library and reward producers and the community," according to their website.
