Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin showed readers of his blog the contents of a 40-liter backpack. According to the programmer and crypto enthusiast, there is everything you might need for life and travel.

This preview will be included in the NFT collection called “Uncle Fibonacci News

Buterin has been leading a nomadic life for nine years now. During this time, he covered 1.5 million kilometers and made 360 flights. Such a life has allowed the co-founder of Ethereum to become a luggage optimization specialist — he used to need a 60-liter bag + laptop bag, and now he can easily get by with a 40-liter backpack that fits everything you need, and a laptop (and even a laptop stand! ).

Each category of things is in a separate bag

The interior compartment of the Hynes Eagle Travel 40L backpack has a t-shirt bag, underwear bag, sock bag, toiletries bag, laundry bag, first aid kit, laptop bag and various small bags for small items.

Yes, yes, all this stuff fits into a 40-liter backpack.

Nothing extra and maximum space savings

The fight for cubic centimeters is tough — you need to find the perfect balance between the benefits that a thing brings and the place it takes in a backpack. So the choice of Buterin is also suitable for crypto enthusiasts — you need to try to stay within the “budget”, while at the same time making sure that you have everything you need.

Very similar to normal financial planning of the type that almost everyone is used to dealing with, with the exception of kryptans during a bull market.

Another universal thing is a charger for a laptop and a mobile phone. And both devices can be charged at the same time. 5x5x2.5 cm and only $55! And, of course, a $30 Philips electric toothbrush that also charges via USB Type C.

The secret to success, explains Buterin, is to become a USB-C maximalist. So all his devices are compatible with this connector, and you can only carry one charger and 1–2 cables with you.

Clothing

Buterin’s clothes are even easier. His strategy is to be a Uniqlo maximalist: in total, about 70% of Vitalik’s clothing items are from the Uniqlo brand. These are 8 T-shirts (6 of them with AIRISM Uniqlo technology), 8 pairs of underwear (do not believe it — also Uniqlo), 8 pairs of socks (in Uniqlo it is tight with socks, you can’t put them on quickly, so the socks were bought from other brands), thermal underwear , slim trousers, a sweater, a compact jacket and shorts that can be used as swimming trunks if necessary (all Uniqlo).

The co-founder of Ethereum, of course, is guided by the main rule of his favorite brand — he dresses so that all layers are combined and create sets for any weather.

In cold Russia, Vitalik does not exist, so 0 degrees is his temperature minimum.

Category Miscellaneous

Buterin included such useful things as a microphone and a laptop stand in the “miscellaneous” category. The microphone is portable, but if you use a toilet paper roll, you get a great stand.

A laptop stand is also very important — it maintains the correct posture. Be like Vitalik, reader, use the stand! Another good thing is the optional 20,000 mAh power bank that boosts battery life anywhere you go.

The workplace is simple and without show off. Toilet paper is on the way too.

Medicine bag

Buterin is a biohacker and takes care of his health. In the first aid kit you can find a combination of various drugs that prolong life (metformin, ashwagandha — a natural sedative and vitamins), as well as protection against coronavirus, of course: a CO2 meter, masks, antigen tests and fluvoxamine (antidepressant, used including for treatment and prevention of symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder).

Buterin does not have a first-aid kit, but he advises getting one — something useful.

A little fun

Stylish and fun. And the laptop breaks

The more space you save in your backpack, the more funny and cute things you can carry with you. Buterin has a pink laptop bag with elephants bought in Zambia, funny socks with unicorns and the famous pajama pants with foxes (or Shiba Inu, depending on whether he communicates with dog coin lovers or with ordinary people).

In general, everything you need for comfort and creating a good mood is collected in this category.

Pajama pants are great for speaking at blockchain conferences

The 40-liter backpack allows you to carry a week’s supply of things and all the essentials, and at the same time is convenient to carry — you can always put it in your hand luggage, explains Buterin. When packing, plan ahead and take several matching base kits.
