Updates, News, and Future Plans

As the hottest weather rolls out of August, Coinomi welcomes you to our recently rolled Summer Update! Our user-focused update introduces a redesign to embellish Coinomi’s display, asset management features to put full blockchain powers into your hands, and partner integrations to increase asset usability.

As always, upcoming feature spoilers down below…

Coinomi UI Updates

🎈We’re celebrating Coinomi’s 5th birthday with stylish design! 🎈

Age can deliver the gift of wisdom and knowledge, but it can also bring an aged interface, which is not a gift we want to give you, so we refreshed our look to gift you a modern wallet that is extremely functional- in style.🕶️

We say gif, not gif.

Our new animations don’t just look great, but each adds to the intuitive design which Coinomi strives to deliver, supporting both pros and beginners in blockchain.

New Animations > Fidget Toys

Before changing our look, we made sure to keep Coinomi’s functional integrity. We’re not dropping any features. If you don’t see one right away, it might have a new home. Callisto Network cold staking is one of the features which we’ve packed into our new menu.

Copper Tellurium

Ethereum Collectible Support

WalletConnect

… This one’s in the name.

Using end-to-end encryption, connect to a universe of DApps using the Coinomi Wallet. WalletConnect is an open protocol which we have implemented so you can safely connect with DApps without compromising your private keys. With a tap and QR scan, you can connect to DApps such as the Binance DEX anytime, anywhere. Simple, and safe.

Unspent Transaction Output Features

Putting an end to dusting attacks

With our new UTXO features, we’re putting an end to dusting attacks and similar malicious attacks. You can now protect yourself against dusting attacks and get organized by utilizing UTXO labels.

Foundation for Interwallet Operability

The Standard for Blockchain Usability

We hope you didn’t miss our announcement on Twitter, even our CEO @Kimionis was tweeting about it! We’ve teamed up with Fio.Foundation to create a new blockchain standard and increase its usability. Partnered with over 10 leading wallets and numerous exchanges, we’re bringing blockchain consumers a better experience. Here’s what our CEO had to say about it:

Ease of use is one aspect that will define cryptocurrencies’ future. The FIO Protocol puts an end to vague addresses by replacing them with human-readable aliases across different services and blockchains — a challenging technological task and a huge step toward mass adoption.

Closing Argument

If you’ve read this far, you must be a hardcore Coinomi Fan!❤

We want to thank you so much for being a part of the Coinomi Community. Whether you’re just joining us now or a five-year user, it means quite a bit that you have chosen the Coinomi Wallet as you financial companion. We’re going to keep doing our jobs to pursue creation of the perfect wallet, and we couldn’t get there without you on board.

What’s Next?

A few months ago we published a riddle in a community survey as to which coins were coming next. Take a moment to solve it, the answers are below.

Quickly, a pebble from the mosaic tumbled into the pond below. The wavelet spread across the pond reaching over a million people. Though right in front of their eyes, no one could see the true meaning of these actions.

Mosaic- We were sneakily referring to mosaic features which were available in the next release once we added NEM to the application.
Wavelet spread- Another name for wavelets? Ripples! We added Ripple shortly after.
No one could see…- You can’t see the meaning of Monero transactions, but we were happy to add them into the app soon after.

Yeah, we already know we’re nerds, it comes with the job.

This time, we’ll be more direct.

As Coinomi grows, we’re developing new assets into the wallet as quickly as possible. New projects, old projects, we want them all! Our goal is to make the Coinomi Wallet extremely functional and introduce new in-app services so you can take full control of the immense powers which lay in blockchain technology. We are also increasing our community building team. You may see Angelos, Fernando, and Brenny in the Telegram chat working day and night to ensure a safe, helpful, and respectful community. We are going to increase publications and communication so you can stay up-to-date with our progress and so you have a say in our joint future.

So expect

  • More coins
  • A widening community
  • New Languages
  • New in-app tools and services
