Join the College Contributor Network

A few quick steps to get publishing with us!

We’re changing things up at the CCN to make it easier for aspiring college sports writers to join and publish with us. The first change is that we’ll be using Medium to accept submissions. In choosing Medium, we wanted to improve the writing experience, as well as give you a better place to expand your portfolio and voice.

You’ll need to do two things to start publishing:

First: Create a Medium account, if you don’t already have one. You can quickly create one with Twitter or Facebook.

Next: Email us at AOLSportsCCN at TeamAOL dot com with your name, school and year, as well as links to some writing samples.

Once we have the necessary info, we’ll go ahead and add you to our College Contributor Network as a writer. You’ll then be able to draft stories for the CCN and follow in the footsteps of our proud alumni, who have gone on to score full-time jobs at Sports Illustrated, Grantland, MLB and television stations around the country and more.

Once you’re added as a contributor, you can click “Write a Story” at the top of Medium’s homepage. After you’re finished, you’ll submit your draft to us by clicking the button next to “Publish.” Here’s some more info on submitting.

After we receive your submission, our editorial team will take a look at your content and provide feedback directly inline.
