Imagine being the first point of touch when someone walks into your company. The pressure of having to report much earlier than everyone else, upholding the brand in the right light, selling the brand’s service or product, or “impressing” can be overwhelming.

Not for our Receptionist, Priscilla, who manoeuvres through these tasks like a walk in the park. We spoke with Priscilla about how she ensures she never misses a beat with these and other tasks, as well as how her personal life influences them.

  • How long have you been working at Complete Farmer?

Close to 2 years

  • You’re a Front desk receptionist at Complete Farmer. What’s the most important aspect of what you do?

I have to make sure the reception area is neat and tidy and cheerfully ready to welcome visitors.

  • Can you tell me an interesting fact about yourself?

I love to sing and to hear myself singing. But I can’t really tell if people will love to listen to my voice.

  • What’s your favourite part about being a receptionist?

When I know visitors are happy as they leave the premises.

  • What’s one thing most people would be surprised to know about receptionists?

As a receptionist, I am at the center of the company. I support both staff and visitors/clients of Complete Farmer. I assist all the departments in one way or the other.

  • How would you describe your journey at Complete Farmer so far?

I keep saying Complete Farmer is another school on its own. It has been full of learning new things and progressing.

  • What does good customer service mean to you?

Good customer service helps you to maintain loyal customers. As long as you are meeting their(customers) expected needs, they will stay with you and as well recommend you to others. In fact, good customer service means a lot to me.

  • What’s a typical day in the life of the receptionist at Complete Farmer like?

Welcoming and escorting visitors, receiving and directing phone calls, sending and replying to emails, supervising cleaners and securities, etc.

  • What’s one thing you’ve learned from working at Complete Farmer?

Teamwork helps to achieve the set goals and objectives.

  • What’s your favourite space at the Greenery?

The reception. It’s a very big, neat, peaceful and beautiful office room.

  • How do you like to spend your weekends?

I like to be with my family at home, go to church, and have enough rest for the next working days.

  • What inspires you to keep growing in your role as a receptionist?

The love to see a healthy and cheerful face, hence my responsibility.

  • What advice do you have for anyone looking to join the Complete Farmer family?

The person should be ready to give out his/her all to the upliftment of Complete Farmer.
