Hello! I think I’m still in shock from last night’s Succession episode. Goodness gracious. What an episode, what a show.

In today’s edition of Content Consumed…
✈️ Spoiler-free (for now): Succession, Episode 3
🏝 Class of ’07, a yassified Aussie Lord of the Flies
🔕 Farewell to Joe Alwyn
👻 Kim Kardashian stars in next American Horror Story

NO SPOILERS: Succession, Episode 3

It was a wild episode.

And that’s all I’m going to say here.

A full recap and review from yours truly, with spoilers, is right here waiting for you.

You should watch Class of ‘07

As my friend Rachel told me when she recommended it: it’s for the girlies!

The premise of this Australian TV show is that a tidal wave (more like flash flooding) hits as a group of women celebrates their ten-year reunion from an all-girls school. The former students must find a way to survive on the island tip of their high school campus.

Hold your disbelief; I was also a little dubious that this all could’ve happened at once, that their school could be completely cut off from civilization (maybe it is the apocalypse, as they suspect?), and that our main character Zoe just happened to find her way, accidentally, to her 10-year reunion while seeking higher ground. She tried to warn them, by the way!

It’s viciously entertaining, watching this group of girls in their late-twenties try to deal with each other and survive. A yassified Australian Lord of the Flies, as my friend put it. We’ve got both villains and antiheroes… maybe a true hero will emerge soon.

Again, suspend any questions you may have, like why wasn’t there at least a janitor or someone also stuck on the island with the girls celebrating their high school reunion? Not a single administrator on campus? Anyways…

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn are through

A devastating week for Swifties everywhere, as it’s being reported that T-Swizzle and nepo-boyfriend Joe Alwyn have called it quits in the middle of her worldwide Eras tour. This dispels all the rumors about an engagement, I guess.

Anyways, the Swifties are melting down.

Here’s my idea: put Joe Alwyn and Emrata on a date, then Pete Davidson and Taylor Swift. Emrata and Pete are running out of folks to date, and this would be perfect.

OR, hear me out: Joe Alwyn and Phoebe Bridgers, Paul Mescal and Taylor Swift. A very ~indie~ double date.

Okay, here’s my last pitch. No?

Could Kim Kardashian revive American Horror Story?

It’s a maybe.

We’re headed into Season 12 of American Horror Story, a show most people have not watched since Season 6 when Lady Gaga starred. The two headlining stars of Season 12: AHS mainstay Emma Roberts and amateur actress Kim Kardashian.

Immediate thoughts:

  • AHS showrunner Ryan Murphy is friends with Kim, so this could be a favor.
  • Since Kim was not invited to this year’s Met Gala (supposedly), she may be trying to up her professional credentials as an entertainer.
  • The last time she graced our screens in a non-reality-TV fashion was when she hosted SNL in 2021 and actually got decent reviews.

The premise of Season 12, titled “DELICATE”: “A gripping thriller about a woman who becomes convinced that a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens.”

Wondering who’s who: is Kim the pregnant woman, and Emma the sinister figure? Or visa versa?

Wondering if this will actually get traction or if AHS has truly been left in the dust—Kim K. along with it.

And that’s all I’ve got for you today! Thanks for reading. I’m pretty close to 500 followers—follow this column and help me reach my goal by the end of April!

Love ya.

Cheers,
Casey
