Hey! First things first: I am spending the next two weeks traveling, getting married, and honeymooning.

Is Content Consumed my first priority during that? Nope! Of course, you’ll see me posting and commenting on ~happenings~ over at the Content Consumed Instagram, and maybe an emergency column here or there, but we’re on a slight hiatus for the next two weeks.

…But that doesn’t mean I’m not consuming content, damn it!

Below, you’ll find the television, podcasts, music, books, and sports that I’ll be engaging with over the next two weeks.

Join me.

TELEVISION

What I’m watching during my downtime to chill out—and keep up.

The Last of Us
In all honesty, the last couple of episodes—especially the last one—have been disappointing. Slow, unnecessary, bad dialogue, and I don’t love Bella Ramsey. Here’s my review of the most recent episode, if you missed it. The finale will be aired on the first night of our honeymoon. Romance, baby!

Drive to Survive
We’re about halfway through Season 5 and loving it. Hoping to squeeze in the rest of the show before the first race this Sunday, so it might not technically be on the Travel Content List.

The Great
Season 3 comes out in May and I’m STOKED and we’re almost halfway through Season 2 (my rewatch, my fiancé’s first watch). Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult have unusually brilliant chemistry in this genre-crossing series.

PODCASTS

What I’m listening to on the six(!!) different plane rides we’re taking.

Up First
Sometimes I think I keep up more with world events when I’m traveling than when I’m sitting at home. Up First (from NPR) is a smart way to start the day while tossing on an outfit, making some coffee, and putting on makeup.

Oysters Clams and Cockles
Trying to make sense of what happens in The Last of Us can be annoying. How many different types of zombies are there?! This podcast helps, to a certain extent.

Celebrity Memoir Bookclub
I’ve stocked up on a couple of episodes for the plane, including the Common (the rapper) episode. Can’t say I know much about him, and I love going into these episodes blind, because Claire and Ashley can make any celeb memoir hilarious.

Trillionaire Mindset
A good giggle guaranteed, along with maybe five minutes of finance chat.

MUSIC

What’s in my earbuds as I run last-minute wedding errands and as I fall asleep (fingers crossed) on the plane.

“hop in da plane”
Are you familiar with my go-to travel playlist? Well, that’s the title, and here it is on Spotify. Hold your judgment. Each song was picked because it makes me feel like I’m embarking on a life-changing adventure or the main character in a movie.

Artist: SZA
Really, can’t go wrong with SZA’s newer album SOS or her entire discography.

Album: Red Moon in Venus by Kali Uchis
This album just dropped today and I think Kali Uchis did it just for me. I can’t imagine a better soundtrack to our Oaxacan wedding and Riviera Maya honeymoon.

Album: Planet Her by Doja Cat
Wanna feel good, like really fucking good? Like you’re the baddest in the world, like everything’s gonna go great, because you’re incredible and you know what you’re doing and what you want and who you are? There’s Planet Her, waiting for you. Instant confidence boost, especially the first half of the album.

Album: Endless Summer Vacation by Miley Cyrus
I’m not the biggest Miley fan, but this comes out next week and I’ll have to listen for curiosity’s sake.

BOOKS

This Kindle is locked and loaded for the beach and the pool.

The Queen of Dirt Island
I’m about halfway through this novel and I’m in love with it. I’ve become quite obsessed with tiny chapters, just a couple pages each. It keeps stories moving so quickly. Plus, the four generations of this Irish novel are the most engaging characters.

Shoe Dog
Half work, half play: I’m finally reading Phil Knight’s Bible and maybe I’ll become a better marketing professional as a result.

Normal People
Fine!!! I’ll read it!!! I’ll finally read a Sally Rooney book and I’ll judge you all heavily if it sucks. Then I’ll watch the Paul Mescal adaptation and check that off my list as well.

SPORTS

Just tuning in for the most important bits.

Formula 1
Bahrain opens the season this Sunday, then we skip a weekend and head to Saudi Arabia on March 19. (We might actually miss that one because of travel).

March Madness
Again, this starts towards the end of our adventure, so there’s a chance we don’t tune in right away.

And that’s my grand list! Any more recommendations for me?

Like I said, this column won’t be published at its usual frequency, but hang out with me on Instagram!

Lots of love to all of you.

Adios!
Casey
