Hello, lovebirds! I’m in between weddings right now (our legal one and the big destination wedding) so I’m definitely feeling all the love, all the butterflies, and all the good vibes. Positively giddy!

In today’s edition of Content Consumed:

💘 Checking in on Emrata, Olivia Wilde, Emma Chamberlain, and more
💌 Music, TV, and movies for Valentine’s Day
🎞 Ted Lasso’s season 3 teaser trailer

Celebrity couples check-in

In honor of Valentine’s Day, let’s check in on some of our favorite, and least favorite, celebrity couples. And one non-couple worth mentioning.

  • Dave Franco and Alison Brie are my guiding light, my #couplegoals, my vision of the future. They just did GQ’s Couples Quiz and Dave teared up when Alison asked him “What do I like most about you?” They told a cute story about their first hook-up and how they thrived in pandemic quarantine together and their creative passions and ugh I loved it. Plus they spend a good amount of time in Portland and frequent some of my favorite places in my home city, so I’m still hoping I’ll run into them one day. Their favorite vintage shop, after all, is my brother-in-law’s.
  • I am blown away that Eric Andre and Emily Ratajkowski are actually, truly dating. Their Valentine’s Day joint thirst trap is an incredible relationship launch pic. How does he pull these women? Unbelievable. He’s got that goofy sauce, that’s for sure.
  • Just, please, stop. Stop, Olivia Wilde. She posted “If I thought he was hot before, this really put me over the edge” on Sunday, about A$AP Rocky, with a video of him cheering on Rihanna, his partner and mother of his children, at the Super Bowl halftime show. She also tagged Rihanna and A$AP. Weird, inappropriate, embarrassing? She got accused of all that, and therefore CONTINUED TO POST, defending herself by saying: “For anyone who got it twisted 🙄… It’s hot to respect your partner. Especially when your partner just did thaaaaaat.” Just leave it alone, girlie!! Close the Instagram app! Find a man on Raya! Chill out!
  • Emma Chamberlain and Role Model are cringe and they love it. They were just profiled by GQ for Valentine’s Day and could not have been more dopey and teenager-y. Their first date sucked: pizza, Fortnite, awkwardness after two months of intense texting and not a single phone call. Their intense conviction around soft-launching, then hard-launching their relationship is very influencer-y, which makes sense. Good for them!

Content to consume this V-Day

Just a handful of content for you to consume on this lovely day of love, no matter what mood you’re in.

Music: “Love Song” by Sara Bareilles, anything ABBA, “I Feel Love” by Donna Summer, Lemonade by Beyoncé (if you’re in more of a revenge mindset today), “CUFF IT” by Beyoncé, and “Arabella” and “I Wanna Be Yours” by The Arctic Monkeys (iconic lyricism, I’d like to be reborn as Alexa Chung—or at least her aura, her vibe).

TV: Love Island UK (learn how to NOT respect your partner and be a dickhead—looking at you, Ron! And Tom. And Kai…), Abbott Elementary (because of Janine and Gregory’s slow burn), and Fleabag (if you’ve given up on love altogether—or have you?).

Movies: Valentine’s Day (that 2010 movie starring every celebrity you know) and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (the greatest rom-com of all time).

Ted Lasso’s season 3 teaser is exactly what you expect

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I wasn’t a huge fan of Season 2 of Ted Lasso. Too much cheese, not enough soccer. Unrealistic character arcs. My hope for Season 3 was a bit more intensity, more drama on the field in addition to the off-field shenanigans.

But that might be unrealistic, and it might just not be my type of show, and the teaser trailer released today might have proved that.

In the trailer, each character from the main cast writes “BELIEVE” on a piece of paper and sticks it to their locker, impressing Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) and his trusty assistant coach. That’s all for now. But, I’m sure another trailer or two will drop ahead of the first episode release on March 15.

And that’s it for today! Lots of love for all of you. Catch you tomorrow!

Cheers,
Casey
