Coronavirus SF: Jan 22, 2022 — New YouTube Video!
Hello coronavirus-sf subscribers!
Hope this email finds you well. Life can be unpredictable. I thought the pandemic was ending in June 2021. Maybe we were off by a year; June 2022 it is! 😎
Omicron is no joke! Scrolling through the lengthy day-by-day stats for San Francisco and the Bay Area, we can see that there’s more case growth this past month than 1 year ago. Were all the vaccinations pointless? Definitely not! Even though the charts’ death rates look relatively flat, people’s mothers and relatives and friends are still dying from Covid. And chances are, they were not vaccinated (see example from Europe).
If you’ve been stocking up on Covid tests, check out this new YouTube video produced by me and a collaborator from Kazakhstan:
Let me know if you have comments or ideas for new videos! The new YouTube channel is not specific to the pandemic, but pandemic-related data is still relevant these days. 😂 A reminder that if you’re visiting locations outside the Bay Area, covid-usa.groveflow.com is available as a resource for stats across the U.S. 🇺🇸
Have a wonderful and safe weekend! I know that booster shots are not super popular, but I plan on welcoming additional boosters in 2022; my immune system can use the help! 🍀
Cheers,
- Xian
