After two years of success with our Costanoa Access Fellowship program, we thought it was time to go bigger and better. This summer, we’re offering not only an MBA/grad student fellowship but an additional undergraduate one as well.

The Costanoa Access Fellowship addresses an obvious shortcoming in venture capital today: our industry has far too few members of underrepresented groups and that has important downstream effects for founders. By seeking diversity and working to be inclusive in all parts of our business, we can bring additional viewpoints, gain a better understanding of customer needs, and help both businesses and people succeed well beyond Silicon Valley.

To achieve these outcomes we can’t simply have our fellows shuffling papers…so we throw our fellows directly into the deep end, giving them real responsibilities and experience. They work side by side with our Partners — meeting potential founders, conducting due diligence, and helping us in substantive ways that prepare for a career in venture capital.

So far, we’ve worked with three great fellows — Lindsey Wilcox, Javaughn Lawrence, and Sophie Lalonde. Each proved successful, becoming part of our team from day one.

With their success in mind, we decided to add a new Undergraduate Fellow. This additional opportunity will increase exposure to our industry and provide them with the skills needed for a viable and exciting career path.

Interested candidates are encouraged to fill out this simple form. Once we receive your information, we will email you the full application. The two-month fellowship will take place between June and August at Costanoa Ventures in Palo Alto and San Francisco.

The application deadline is Wednesday, February 20. We will reach out to final round candidates by February 27 for interviews. No resumes will be accepted. Questions? Email jobs@costanoavc.com.
