Halloween is right around the corner, but you won’t hear “Thriller” or “Monster Mash” on this playlist. Instead, we’ve queued up songs that weren’t intended for the holiday but sound spooky nonetheless. Witches, ghosts, graveyards, and sinister themes lie ahead, so listen at your own risk...

Tiffany chose “My Body’s a Zombie For You” by Dead Man’s Bones:

Ryan Gosling was actually in a band long before he was in “La La Land.” According to Spotify, the band was created for an “eerie musical,” but they scrapped the idea to focus on the haunting music. Their lyrics + Gosling’s wavering voice + a children’s choir as backup vocals + the album art = goosebumps.

Vicki chose “Every Breath You Take” by The Police:

Listen to the words. It’s damn creepy…like as in stalker creepy.
