Cultivating a Creative Culture is now available

Today is the day, my friends: it’s my distinct pleasure to say the book, in paperback and eBook formats, can now be purchased just about everywhere! You can find a copy at popular online retailers like:

It’s been a tremendously rewarding journey leading up to today. From the book’s inception from the original A List Apart article up through the launch party, I’m inarticulably excited for you to now have the book in your hands.

But Wait, There’s More

In conjunction with launch day, the Creative Culture Podcast is also available with its premier episode. The first conversation is with Swedish designer Jaan Orvet.

Professionally, the work Jaan does is to build and coach design teams for agencies and product companies. The teams are centred on people, on humans; both as creators and as receivers of the work created. Beyond that, Jaan’s thoughts on human-centered practices are oft-cited in Cultivating a Creative Culture, and I’m proud to call him a colleague and a friend.

You can listen to the podcast on the book’s website, or listen and subscribe via iTunes. Future episodes of the show will feature a dialogue with — and spotlight on — those who are beacons of human-centered creative culture.

Stepping Through the Door

Creative cultures contribute to the resounding success of an organization and the work its team creates. They permeate the interactions at our office, the meetings we attend, and the manner in which we produce. It’s very much about being focused on the human beings behind the projects and facilitating them doing their best work; getting there represents a shift in thought as much as in procedure.

The good news is we all can get there. Having said that, there’s a journey to be had along the way to our destination.

I’m inviting you to join me.
