What kind of exercise do you practice to keep moving as you age? Walking is one of the most popular forms of exercise for older people, but you may be surprised to learn that some folks in their 60s and 70s are still running regularly.

In Our Stories this week, we bring you several stories about running, about ruck-running, and about facing our physical limitations as we age. We’ve even got an essay about finding companionship in Zumba class.

Speaking of exercise, we got a request from Elaine LaLanne, the widow of exercise king Jack LaLanne whom we interviewed on the Crow’s Feet Podcast last year. Elaine is celebrating her 98th birthday by organizing an effort to break the world record in the “Most People Performing Jumping Jacks Simultaneously” on July 12, at 1pm Pacific time. Groups will be doing jumping jacks in LA, Chicago, NY, Washington D.C. — and under-water, on a Navy Aircraft Carrier, and on the Great Wall of China!! Join in the challenge by signing up here.

If you want to catch up on the Crow’s Feet podcast, you don’t want to miss our special on Memorial Day hosted by Lee J. Bentch. Listen here to all the episodes.

And, finally, we have a new writing prompt from Robin James this week asking if you have put our affairs in order and if you have a will? Read the full prompt here.
