At the same time, we have found that there are a small number of users performing high-frequency “washing” operations on repeated large files in order to quickly obtain “data power”, which causes network congestion and affects the normal storage orders of other users.
To ensure the fairness of the activity, and let more people experience Crust distributed storage and receive rewards, the Crust technical team has optimized and upgraded the “Data Power” rules, and implemented controls immediately to prohibit “washing” behavior.
The adjusted “Data Power” rules description are as follows:
1. For oversized files
For a normal storage order, if the number of copies of a file in the network exceeds 25, the corresponding data power will be obtained:
1) If the size of a single order file is less than 5 GB, the data power will be obtained according to the ratio of 1:1.
2) If the size of a single order file exceeds 5 GB, there will be a certain percentage discount on the obtained data power.
2. For duplicate files
Files with a similarity level higher than 95% will be regarded as duplicate files. Duplicate files cannot obtain data power, and only the first order file will be regarded as an effective file. At the same time, when the system detects duplicate files, it will deduct the data power from the data provider according to the size of the duplicate files.
3. For high frequency operation
When the number of copies of storage order files is less than 25, data power is temporarily unavailable, and these files will be regarded as “Pending files” and displayed on the “Account actions” page.
1) After the number of “Pending files” reaches 300 (the refresh frequency is 2 hours), please temporarily stop placing orders and wait for the network to process the existing orders;
2) If the number of “Pending files” exceeds 300, the data power already obtained by the data provider will be deducted.
