We released a Fancy Contest Fancy into the wild

At the end of March, Jody of CryptoKitties411 held a contest where members of the community came up with their own “Fancy Cat recipes”. Roll Dice Club made a mock-up of what those recipes would look like, and they are basically the cutest things we’ve ever seen.

In April, we told you that we were so inspired by the creations you made for this contest, we were going to release a Fancy inspired by the contest itself.

Originally, our plan was to pick a recipe we liked, and add a new trait to it (that we would release right before we released the Fancy). So we announced that we would be taking a recipe, adjusting it, and sending it your way.

We’d already promised we weren’t going to copy an existing recipe exactly, of course, so we decided to stick with that pre-existing plan. We chose ‘Fun Day at the Beach’ by Kittynetic for our recipe, and removed the coralsunrise requirement.

A few weeks ago, we released that Fancy into the wild, and you all very quickly put together and shared a spreadsheet of every possible recipe combination — very clever. Can you believe it only took twenty one days for you to unlock the Fancy?
