Soon we’re launching the first CryptoMotors GEN1 production series cars, featuring the winning models of our first Design Challenge: Abyssus and Neon Roadster. An awesome partnership with Animoca Brands is also coming up!
Hey, guys and gals. We have some great news!
Soon we will be minting our first-ever batch of CryptoMotors GEN1 series cars. Two of the most awaited models among Cryptomotors collectors, the Abyssus and Neon Roadster, will be available for direct purchase through our marketplace.
You will be able to acquire these models on the following dates
- Virtual Racer Abyssus — March 16th
- Virtual Racer Neon Roadster — To be confirmed
Each GEN1 series car will feature a new range of original colors and be for sale in separate batches.
There will only be a limited number of units available per batch, so you have to be fast if you want to be among the first users to acquire these rare NFT cars.
We’ll reveal the price, the number of available units, and the colors for each model in a future article in the next few days.
We’re also celebrating an exciting collaboration with Animoca Brands, one of the leaders of the blockchain gaming industry and creators of the REVV token.
On top of that, we’re preparing a HUGE surprise to reward the early collectors of the GEN1 models. So, stay tuned for more info on these two topics in the next few days!
About the minting schedule
We’re thrilled to announce that we’re back on the NFT car minting schedule.
We will be releasing a new batch for each model every two weeks. We will launch the first batch for the GEN1 Abyssus on March 16th, and another for the Neon Roadster on a date to be confirmed.
Thanks to NFTs interoperability, collectors who acquire these assets will be able to enjoy the cars in a wide range of 2D, 3D, and VR games and platforms across the Metaverse.
But that’s not all. ☝️
Owners of the new GEN1 cars will also be able to join our STAT tournaments and compete for a huge amount of $WHALE (Over $8000 in prizes each month), as well as other amazing rewards thanks to our partnership with Whale Community!
About the GEN1 series cars
Both the Abyssus and the Neon Roadster are part of the Virtual Racer family. From a practical point of view, that means they share similar performance stats to the GEN0 Sport Coupé.
The designs of both cars were created by individual designers during the first CryptoMotors Design Challenge. Then, they were 3D-modeled, visualized, and tokenized by the CryptoMotors team.
The CryptoMotors Design Challenge is a unique competition where automotive designers, artists, and car enthusiasts participate in an open car design contest to create the next car in our digital lineup.
It’s a decentralized space with unlimited opportunities for car designers to show their creativity to the world and create unique, valuable digital vehicles while getting rewarded for it.
These two amazing car models were the most voted designs by the community.

The story behind these models
Tris takes a long breath, closes her eyes, and opens them again. She is now ‘Serenay’, an avatar living in a VR world.
Serenay walks out of the rooftop suite, sensing the fresh air on her skin and overlooking the city. The smooth, mirror-like streets reflect the lights of the buildings around. Down in the streets, modern architecture weaves into industrial buildings covered with graffiti.
Beep beep — a text. Right now, the streets are peaceful, but not for long. In a few minutes, the city will turn into a racing track for Serenay. In Y43, she has earned her reputation. In Y43, she is one of the best behind the wheel.
ARE YOU READY? — says the text. She is.
For the first Design Challenge, we defined a Cyberpunk environment, including a fantasy Virtual World called Y43 and two fictional characters with their own back story: Serenay and Rob.
To encourage designers to participate in the competition, we posted a design brief including some basic guidelines and gave participants full freedom to design their dream car.
In addition to the narrative we built for this Design Challenge, we also created some beautiful NFT art pieces worth checking out.

About digital scarcity and our new minting schedule
We want our cars to be scarce goods.
That’s why our plan is to mint a limited amount of units per batch. This will help us keep a transparent and organized minting & trading process.
It’s important to remember that once all the units on a particular batch are sold, we won’t replenish cars’ stock until a new batch is released.
