We started 2021 hitting the ground running, having launched our alpha in the last days of December and jumping into working to implement the Curamei platform. In this journey, we have worked with a number of providers, payers, and social care stakeholders about what it will take to ensure we can build the necessary trust to implement and start improving quality of care.

Alpha Release

At the end of 2020, we launched the official alpha for the Curamei platform and have been hard at work collecting even more feedback.

The feedback which we received was the continued enthusiasm which had guided the development of the alpha — that the purpose of Curamei addresses the greatest obstacle to leveraging technology in healthcare.

For patients we have worked with, Curamei directly handles the problems of dealing with health information. Many people have a handful of different physicians and specialists to work with, and ensuring that all these providers are on the same page is a significant burden. Dealing with consent forms, conflicting responses from different care providers, and running around to cater to the needs of each individual practitioner is a greatly draining process which can be significantly made easier with the tools for data aggregation and sharing that Curamei offers.

For practitioners, the ability of Curamei to work with various patient portals and data formats has the potential to streamline the process of collecting patient history and intake information which is often a massive administrative challenge. Because the tools of data aggregation are purely based on the patient’s own login-credentials and authorization, there is no concern of whether other providers are on Curamei, because the platform has been built to be entirely network-agnostic, wherein we work to adapt to various data sources and work to not make the extent of a care network define the usability of Curamei.

Reimagine the Tech Adoption Curve

Earlier, we wrote about how Curamei is reworking the technology adoption curve to best serve the needs of underserved communities and to make the platform accessible to as many people as possible. Check it out!

Looking Forward

Within the next few weeks, our greatest priority will be rolling out mobile apps for Apple and Android smartphones. The current version of Curamei is a web application which is friendly to mobile browsers, but to give our users more direct access to their health data on-the-go, we have made a mobile app our greatest priority.

Going beyond the mobile app, we hope to get immediately to work on a questionnaires set of features which will allow patients to complete intake forms before appointments and provide feedback on engagement surveys directly with providers while giving providers the ability to use surveys to remind patients of treatment procedures and for logging subjective indicators like feelings of pain or anxiety in between encounters.

Beyond these additions to the platform, we will be continuing to be hard at work to work with more social care organizations and providers to gain valuable feedback and insight on what will make the upcoming beta the best it possibly can be.
