Got Jobs? California dairy certainly does.

The Golden State is the №1 jobs machine among dairy states, supporting 390,000 jobs. Wisconsin is second, followed by Texas at №3.

The chart below tells the rest of the story.

The jobs data comes from Dairy Delivers®, the International Dairy Foods Association’s economic impact tool. It takes into account the economic ripple effect of dairy to connected U.S. industries such as transportation, construction and retail.

The U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC), the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) and the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) has created this publication on Medium to show dairy’s economic impact.

Launched in May, this publication shares in-depth data and compelling narratives featuring hard-working dairy families, innovative dairy exporters and others from across the country who are economically connected to dairy’s food supply chain.

Our slogan: Dairy creates jobs, exports create more.
