Our initial idea was to raise awareness to younger ages about zooming out from themselves and zoom in to the environmental needs. We have observed lately that not only the rubbish bins of Athens, but many others are full of garbage. The recycling bins have disappeared and many people don’t even know how and why to recycle electronic devices.

User Experience Map

We though that Millennials, these fresh minds are the ideals in order to make some updates to our community. People must stop consuming so irresponsible and learn how to take care the environmental sources. Our app aims to inspire basically the youngest ages that use excellently the new technologies and offers them a clean sheet of paper in order to express their feelings about the environment of theirs.

So our ideal user would be Sophia, a 20 year old student who loves technology and more specific her iPhone. She spends many hours scrolling in social media and as many people of her age enjoys watching photos and images on Facebook, snapchat and of course on Instagram. One day a friend of hers re-posts a photo of our e-community on Instagram and Sophia clicks on it to learn more where she finds out the application Clean Slate and its usage. Next day while walking, Sophia observes the streets and the roads and the full of rubbish bins. She finds the scenery very frustrating and decides to try the app by depicting the situation. By sharing a photo of hers, she expresses her disappointment and calls the readers to pay attention and help the whole situation. When user’s photo gains the most of the engagements and becomes viral we decide to call the authorities and ask to clean the location. At this point we hope a problem of many to be fixed and reduce waste and increase the interest of people to take care of the communities’ she needs.

Millennials have the ability, by changing their way of thinking, to make a better quality of life not only for themselves but for the people around them too. The technology is really important in our daily life but we must learn how to use it correctly. Millennials today have gain the “how to”, what about the “correctly”?
