Not sure who wrote this Psalm (King David, Moses, Asaph or perhaps Solomon‽) but it reflects how I should approach God as I journey through life.
A Psalm of praise.
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
These are perhaps my favorite verses in the New Testament (which Christ references from the First Testament) about God & humanity.
And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
I have read this verse hundreds of times in my short life but never realized that Christ never asked his disciples to not judge – but rather to meet the standard of their judgment.
Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Apparently God will grant the requests of prayers we do not need…but there is a catch.

Focusing on the eternal/spiritual should be the constant theme of my life.
