Community Update #18
Korea, Liveen Partnership & More
Dear Datawallet Community,
we had an amazing time in Seoul, South Korea and are still impressed by the hospitality, professionalism and generosity of our Korean hosts. We have shot a lot of video material and are cutting it together at the moment to be released soon — so all of you can get a good impression of our trip. Unfortunately, due to exogenous conditions we had to postpone a few announcements planned for Wallet Week to the following week. Thank you all for your continued support on our mission to give back control of this week’s community update:
Datawallet + DATA + DCC Meetup in Seoul
Even though our trip to Korea was on short notice we wanted to connect with a few of our community members. We hosted a small meetup at the InterContinental Grand Parnas in Seoul together with DATA and DCC who we share a good relationship with. Take a look at the pictures below to get an impression from the event and we will have some more to share from the meetup next week:

Datawallet announces Partnership with Liveen
During a speech at the Liveen Conference hosted by the Veen Foundation at the InterContinental Grand Parnas Seoul, Datawallet CEO Serafin Lion Engel announced that Liveen users would be among the first to leverage its permission based and privacy preserving ad-tech infrastructure. The Veen Foundation, part of publicly listed Finotek Group, is developing the Liveen social network platform with the aim to reward users for sharing their data and watching targeted ads.

Update from the Tech Team
With our newly launched website we also launched our new tech blog: tech.datawallet.com. Here our development team is sharing updates on their progress, release notes, Datawallet’s open-source plans and announcements, random tech anecdotes and more. The last update was from May 25th and is a short one — but they’re just getting started. We would also like to welcome Julien who joined us as Full-Stack Developer.
