[D’CENT] How to setup Flare Coston2 testnet
Here is the step by step guidance on how to setup D’CENT wallet in order to join Flare Finance Beta Test.
STEP #1 : Download D’CENT mobile app
1. Download D’CENT mobile app.

Download iOS App (v4.7.0 or higher) : https://apps.apple.com/kr/app/dcent-hardware-wallet/id1447206611
2. Choose the wallet mode
DApp browser is available for “Biometric Wallet” and “App Wallet”. If you don’t have a hardware wallet, choose the App Wallet. You can use D’CENT wallet even though you don’t have a hardware wallet.
STEP #1–1 : Firmware Update (only for hardware wallet)
If you have a D’CENT Biometric wallet, the first thing you need to do is to update firmware. (If you don’t have hardware wallet device, skip this and go to section “Enable Testnet”)
The firmware version which supports Flare Network testnet is v2.5.2

STEP #2 : Enable Testnet
In order to use the testnet feature, you can enable testnet on the “Setting” tab.
- “Setting” tab > “Enable testnet”
The testnet feature is targeted for developers or advanced users. Please use this feature only if you are very familiar with testnet.
STEP #3 : Delete old version of “Flare Coston1” & “Ropsten” account
If you already have the old version of “Flare Coston” & “Ropsten” accounts you have to delete the account first. (If you don’t have the old version accounts yet, you can skip this step.)
To delete the account,
- Just click “Hide account”
For D’CENT biometric users, the updated version of firmware (v2.9.2 or higher) is needed to hide account on the mobile app. For more details on new firmware, you can see this announcement.

STEP #4 : Create “Flare Coston2” account
Before exploring the Flare Network based dapps, you have to create Flare Network coston2 testnet account. The name of testnet $FLR token is “Flare Network Coston”.
- Click “+” button to add account
- Search “Flare Network Coston”
- You can see the account named “Flare Network Coston 2”
STEP #5 : Create “Ropsten ETH” account
- Click “+” button
- Search “Ethereum Ropsten”
- You can see the account named “ETH-ROPSTEN”
STEP #6 : Check your FLR & ETH addresses are same
Before going to the next step, please make sure that your addresses of “Flare Coston2” & “Ropsten” should be same with Ethereum’s address.
You can see your account address in the “Receive” menu of the account.
STEP #7 : Get test FLR and ETH from faucet
You can get the test FLR and test ETH from the faucet.
