Join us in our third episode of DDIGITT Behind the Seams on “Designing Fashion in 3D”, hosted by Marine de Waziers. After general business studies in Brussels, Marine started her career in Marketing for Build-A-Bear Workshop developing the french market. She then, with her sister, set up wedding dress brand Soeurs Waziers both in Brussels and Paris. Her interest in tackling the complexities of the textile supply chain started there and she now has her own company p o o l both selling second hand, offering workshops and conferences on textiles. Her main interests lie in changing consumer and production habits to build a cleaner better fitting fashion industry.

Marine has a conversation with CAD Leader for Burberry Womenswear Tasneem Aziz. Tas recently took the course on Virtual Fashion at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute and has worked on numerous projects and organically grown into her CAD lead position. Tasneem strongly advocates the benefits of 3D within the fashion business and as such she has played a crucial role in transitioning all Womenswear categories into 3D. Her motivation comes from wanting to help curb the downward spiral of unsustainable wastage, which can be achieved by a systemic shift to a digital world for the fashion industry. The pandemic has further shown the importance of fashion houses to embrace 3D into their business models to allow for continuity.

This amazing duo discusses how 3D Design is shaping fashion’s new normal and powering a whole new level for creativity and innovation within design departments.
